The staff was very friendly and helpful, we needed to change our reservations at the last minute and they were very accomodating. The rooms were cozy, clean and well-kept. The location was located right on the way out of the east entrance of Yellowstone and not too far from downtown Cody. Tecumseh's Trading Post right across the street also had a very extensive and interesting diorama chronicling several periods in Native American history, definitely worth strolling over and checking it out!.
kaikki arvostelut » The staff was extemely helpful. I found a crack on the top of my coolant reservoir. This motel also owns Big Bear Motor with repair facility. They helped me arrange for a courier to bring the new replacement part from the dealer at Billing, Montana. They replaced the part as soon as it arrived at a very reasonable price. I will definitely stay in Big Bear Motel again next time I bring my family to explore this part of the mountain range. We were surprised how nice the rooms were, large room, nice bathroom and clean. We paid twice as much for rooms that were small, dirty and old as we traveled thru Yellowstone, Billings, West Yellowstone, Custer..etc,would recommend this motel to anyone who would like clean and comfortable room to stay in while traveling thru the mid west. - we had never stayed at a typical "American" motel before -as a matter of fact: for a short overnight-stay this is quite practical: you park in front of the room and have a (very) short way to anything you might need out of your car! - we had booked a "family room" which turned out te be very large indeed!. We stopped through on our way to Yellowstone just for one night, so this was just a quick pass through -- all we needed was a bed and a shower. Still, this was a good, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. And the wifi was exceptionally fast and reliable, which was very handy!. Super clean & quiet. Close enough to Yellowstone to make the commute worthwhile because of the price. Lots to do in Cody too. We love places like this. We are here to see the attractions, and only to sleep at the motel, so we aren't terribly concerned with luxury. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was great, the bathroom a good size. The staff was friendly. As silly as this sounds I liked the "Western/Mountain" motif, I feel I got a great deal for my dollar. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. The owners went out of their to help me,I stay on a Thursday nite left next morning on motor cycle to ride bear tooth hwy said I wouldn't be back till following Tuesday ,they it was ok to leave pickup truck & trailer no charge,would not let me pay. loved the view of the mountains we had. Staff was very friendly. Was pleasantly surprised by our room. Staff accommodated us with a 2nd night stay at the last minute. Perfect location for staying outside of the expensive Yellowstone area. I plan to go back. Cody and the staff at the Big Bear are so nice. The room must have been newly remodeled and housekeeping kept the room spotless. While I prefer not to talk to other guests, everyone was so friendly, I almost did. Really friendly and helpful owner. He made us feel very welcomed. The room was nice too and overall the place was great value for its location to Yellowstone and for the Buffalo Bill experience in town. This was such a fun place to stay. I loved that this is a "Mom and Pop" type, not a chain. It was very clean, spacious, and a great value. The view of the mountains from our room was a great plus!. Great people at the front desk and very helpful. Room was great and looking at the mountains from the chairs provided out side the room. We were on the second floor. Rate a 100% satisfied. Pet friendly, location, fantastic restaurant " Our Place" across highway. Rustic, trading post, miniature display across highway. Beginning of 52 mile scenic Shoshone National Forest. Loved being greeted by the daughter and dad, felt very friendly. Room was plenty big and clean. Loved the andirondock chairs on the upper porch, we sat and watched the sunset. Had a rustic feeling. Numerous oppurtunities for activities and easy to find. I had an excellent stay and look forward to my next visit!!. It was clean and comfortable and on the way to our destination. Seemed to be safe surroundings. We were well satisfied. Accommodated our family of five, but wish the weather would have cooperated so that we coould have used the pool. The motel is in easy walking distance of the rodeo park. The nearby Buffalo Bill Museum. The view westwards. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff went up and beyond to help us with a motorcycle repair problem they were awesome. Came back to an old friend and it hadn't changed. Best value we can find in Cody. very comfortable. felt like I had been there before. close to everything we did. I liked the look of the place. It looked rustic but was very clean. Nice people. I liked the old fashioned look of the rooms. Like old cabins with amenities. Good value for the money. The parking lot need some gravel, some pot holes here and there, but the rooms made up for it. - the free coffee in the morning is also a nice extra, although we would have preferred a (continental) breakfast!. Only downside was intermittent wi-fi connectivity issues. Person at the front desk said their server only can handle 50 people at a time, unless several are using Skype. He said that uses so much of their capabciry that it makes for slow connections, or you drop off completely. Frustrating when I was trying to book hotels for our return home. One mattress was hard and surprisingly squeaky!. I liked it all!. My husband dropped some crumbs from his evening snack on the floor and the next morning there were ants covering them. Other than that, the room was perfect. I wish I stayed more than 3 nights of my vacation. The only complaint I had is that the bed pillows were very lacking. We had to purchase a pillow at the local Walmart to aid in our comfort. I have zero negative remarks!!!!!!. Cold floors. Internet access cut out a couple times during the evening. I thought it was a little pricey for what it was. There was no continnental breakfast and the coffee wasn't ready early enough. Bed was a bit out dated and uncomfortable. Nothing. small tv. I can't think of a thing. Nothing. Pool was cold. Rooms could use slight updating. Single ply toilet paper..no shampoo. The mattress was too soft or wore out for my back. Wireless internet did not work well. I had to stand outside the main office for it to work. This was also the case after they reset the router. Maybe they need to upgrade the wireless networking hardware. The only complaint I had, was I would like to see more pillows. Those we had were pretty flat. 13" flat screen TV was too small. The rooms were lacking appliances, microwave/ refrigerator, hair dryer, adequate towel racks and wall decorations. N/A. would have liked A room on main floor our fault did not request on booking. Some mold on the shower curtain. Would have been nice to have a coffee pot in the room. Needs new pillows!. The loud air conditioner. could use some updated items like newer TV. No breakfast offered.
