  Great location for me - a few minutes from both downtown and from UNC Asheville. The immediate area around the hotel was mostly high density commercial - chain restaurants, chain hotels, a shopping mall, etc. but since the hotel was set back a good distance from the main road it was still quite quiet. My room had two queen beds and was quite roomy, with a - Nice location, one block walk from Asheville mall. Nice comfortable king bed with nice bedding and soft pillows. Very quiet if you want to sleep in. We were on the end room beside the elevator and heard absolutely no one on a very busy weekend. Everyone was friendly and there's coffee and cookies in the lobby 24 hours a day. Nice stay

  Even though it rained and was a dreary weekend, the atmosphere inside the Inn was cosy and warm. There was plenty to do and a variety of places to eat right there and once we parked we didn't have to get out and drive around in the pouring rain to keep ourselves fed and entertained. You could tell everybody felt that way because the staff and guests were friendly and relaxed. - The Grove Park Inn has a spectacular huge entrance with massive fireplaces--looks like the big lodges in National Parks. The old part of the Inn is historic and the setting is lovely in the mountains and on a beautiful golf course. The staff was very friendly and helpful for the most part. The full breakfast buffett is huge and rather expensive but you also can get less expensive food in the shop areas. The grounds are very well kept.

  love love this. Although it has kitchen and I have no desire to cook on vacation, the full size fridge is great to stock up on snacks and drinks to save $. When we asked why the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't seem to be working, someone eventually explained that the exhaust fan was on the roof and vented all the floors at once. It was very quiet and very efficient. When we decided to stay an extra night, the hotel gave us a better rate than letsbookhotel.com.
