  The Hotel was perfect. Located 10 minutes stroll to York Centre. Hotel itself was of a very high standard. Staff were very friendly. I would recommend eating in the restaurant. It was perfect. - All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Lovely modern feel to a traditional building. Food very good and we thought reasonably priced.   The new managers had just taken over and had many issues to deal with. They made us feel very welcome and accomodated our needs well. The hotel needs some TLC but is comfortable and the rooms were adequate for the price.
