Once a 15th century coaching Inn, the White Hart has been converted to a modern, comfortable inn with character and many period features.
Located in the picturesque village of Stockbridge, famous for the River Test which flows through the High Street, this popular area is ideal for the golfer, angler and country lover.
The restaurant enjoys a reputation for good home-cooked food using local produce, good wines and Fuller's award-winning ales. Off-road parking is available and children are welcome.

clean freindly and good food. Staff were friendly and helpfull, room was excellent. Food was excellent a very pleasant stay would visit again. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Room very comfortable; good shower; very polite and attentive bar and dining staff. The room was excellent everything looked like new. The staff were very helpful and friendly. staff were very obliging. It is like a family get together ! Food was good. outdoor area large. Rooms had charachter and we were very comfortable. We were offered a four poster room at no extra cost!!! It was lovely. Wide variety of visitors and age groups, ie. couples, fishermen, buisinessmen, tourists made the stay interesting. This is our second visit on our way to Dorset. Have recommended it .Beautiful old building full of character. Lovely setting in Stockbridge, would stay there again if ever in that area. Staff helpful and pleasent. Very helpful staff, excellent food, clean comfortable room which was very warm in very cold weather. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service, especially at breakfast, good and prompt. Enjoyed being in a pub where we could have a drink and meal all in one place as we were on a busy schedule. The pleasant welcoming staff and the quite extensive menu.Quiet at night. All perfect. the walls in the rooms were thin therefore you could hear everything from the next room. Awful canned music in bar and breakfast room!. No extractor fan in bathroom. the bathroom sink was not cleaned on a daily basis and no cleaning products were available. After 4 days of shaving it was a bit gross. Little choice of beer if you are not a real ale fan and the wine was very over priced. Must be stressed that you book in for a meal if you wish to eat there, food is good and it is a very popular, being a resident doesn't guarentee a table. very thin walls and ceilings meant lots of internal noise. disabled bathroom functional but lacked charm. There was more noise than I'd expected, as there is a small roundabout just outside the White Hart, not evident in the publicity shots, but all in all it was a good and comfortable place to stay.Bathroom shower needed a clean in the door runners.
