Stirling Youth Hostel provides 4-star accommodation in the historic quarter of Stirling, situated next to the Victorian Old Town Jail. Only a 15-minute walk from Stirling Railway Station and 1 minute from the nearest bus stop. The hostel offers free WiFi throughout. Private shower and toilet facilities are provided in each room at the Stirling Hostel. A TV lounge is available for guests to use. A large shared kitchen is provided for self-catering, and full English and continental breakfasts are served in the spacious dining room. Luggage and bicycle storage are offered, as well as laundry facilities. Stirling Castle is just 5 minutes’ walk from the hostel. The Stirling Arcade and Thistles Centre are just 500 metres away and feature many shops and cafés. The Wallace Monument is only 20 minutes by bus from the rail station. SYHA is a charity and membership organisation.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The building was impressive from the outside and comfortable inside. It was very close to the places I was visiting during the "Bloody Scotland" festival and also convenient for shops and pubs etc. If I'd had more time there i would have been able to visit the castle and the old jail etc very easily, as they were both close by. Unfortunately, time was not on our side...

The staff were very friendly made you welcome. The rooms were very excellent and shower facilities good. Plus parking spaces which was a bonus plus its situated in a great part of the town with great views if visiting stirling highly recomened to stay there. It had a great location. It was only5 min walk from the castle and the centre. The place was spacious and it had ensuite shower room and toilet. The staff was friendly and very helpfull. The place was pleasant and secure. Superb location, just down the road from the castle. Efficient check-in, friendly staff. Clean, basic accomodation - typical well-maintained youth hostel. Perfect for a one or two night stay. The room was ideal for me and position of the hostel is ideal.Staff were really friendly and helpful. Staff were friendly made me feel welcome. Rooms were clean. Great location for Stirling castle and city centre both 5 minutes walk away. everything was good (cleanliness, free parking, location - it takes 5 min to walk to the castle, located in a beautiful mansion). tthe room was neat and clean The kitchen and dining room and TV Lounge were adequate. I was on the second floor and there is no lift, so taking the luggage downstairs was interesting!. No complaints at all. The room had a funny smell it was probably coming from the shower as it hasn't got a door only curtains. Some noise during the night and early morning with people talking and slamming doors, can't account for some!. Only 7 parking spaces which were full when I arrived. No bath towels for shower. room is furnished like spartan. Basic facilities like tea/coffee, milk and sugar were lacking and not available. The beds were quite narrow and uncomfortable. Nothing to note!. The bed was a bit hard and I had a room next to the metal stairs so I could hear everyone coming up and down. Must strip your beds in the morning, breakfast not included in price. the 9.30 checkout. It was too calm, not enough interaction between the people in the hostel. it's not a youth hostel. Can be hard to find at night. wouldnt say didnt like,but it is at the top of a quite steep hill but worth the walk everyday for the views across stirling. A little dirty: found hair on the bed. Mattresses were uncomfortable. I had to pay again as the hostel had not received my payment. I will be taking this up with you when I return home. Windows leaked & drafty. Don't choose this if you want to be pampered. Nothing. No elevator and three flights of stairs to room carrying heavy luggage. We didn't like the cleanliness, or the climb up stairs for older people. Well, that is a youth hostel ... No provision of salt n oil on kitchen. Car parks are absolutely limited.
