As we were travelling with our Great Dane it was important that the hotel could accommodate our dog as well as ourselves. This they achieved in all aspects of our stay. The friendliness and accommodation of the staff was excellent. The facilities were first class including the food. The village of Scorton was lovely and had an excellent dog walking area just a few meters away from the hotel. The room was of a good size with a large shower room and a lounge chair and settee. The bed was very. kaikki arvostelut »
very near the M6 motorway so easy to find and a good half way stop for going to Scotland. Individual style rooms, not part of a chain, very charming. Good comfy bed with ensuite, ours was called the Nicky Nook, after a local landmark. Fantastic breakfast, plenty of it and good quality in lovely surroundings, nice log burning stove kept the dining room warm and cosy, newspaper provided to read at breakfast a nice touch. Set in picturesque countryside, if had time would like to explore more, good .
Friendly welcome as we arrived and the staff remained
friendly, polite, informative throughout our stay. Genuinely seemed to
love their work and surroundings.Meals/food were excellent and
priced well. English breakfast superb and always piping hot. Room was
clean and tidy. Lovely surroundings. Relaxing and peaceful as we
wanted. The dining room was being painted around us, but, didn't
affect our stay. This was giving the place a much brighter/lighter
feel to it, which I would say was the only thin.
Utterly outstanding value for money. Clever cosy decor in bedrooms, restaurant and pub area. Very close to M6 but you can't hear it all. Great place to stop over on North/South trips or as an oasis for visiting Lancaster or Morecambe if you don't want to stay in those hectic places. Lovely rambling walks or riding through Lancashire countryside. Great beer. In short a gem. Thank you to my hosts.
Staff exceptionally welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy. Food is excellent, great pub, lovely wines, breakfast by the log burning stove with fresh fruit and freshly cooked breakfast with a complimentary newspaper was wonderful. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet, with a nice character feel. Very happy customers can't wait to come back for a longer stay.
Perfect location to relax by the fire, enjoy real ale and nice food. The room was spacious and clean, we stayed in Nicky Nook and actually went for a fantastic walk over Nicky Nook. The priory is in a beautiful location. Staff were great. Rachel recommended the walk and even some of the menu choices which were spot on.We will be returning for our anniversary.
This is a really "comfortable" hotel - one of the best hotels
I have stayed in. The staff are really welcoming and helpful and cannot
do enough to help. The rooms are really comfortable and well equipped.
The food is fantastic and with Real ales too! If only all the Hotels I
stayed in were like this. Looking forward to returning.
We loved everything about the Priory Inn, the staff were fantastic, the food was delicious and used as much local produce as was possible.
We were made welcome from the moment we arrived. Its located in a lovely position and very peaceful. Can't fault it and would recomment to anyone. We will be going back next year!.
The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. They were all young and enthusiastic and efficient, and couldn't have been more helpful.
The problem of no twin room was sorted swiftly if not ideally with a put you up bed in a side room.
The bacon at breakfast was wonderful, as were the poached eggs.
I have tried to book at The Priory many times and every time that I have tried it’s been full. I stay at many hotels up and down the country and I can see why this place is so popular, lovely room (Grizedale), great food, stylish and clean with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Set in a beautiful village location surrounded by churches and countryside. Loved the little extras provided, with the home made treats (shortbread) which were delicious. Staff were very friendly. Really enjoyed my stay in the very comfortable bed. Room was clean with nice bedding.
The hotel is in a great location, endless walking and cycling opportunities from the doorstep. The food was very tasty with good-sized portions and good value for money. The room was also clean and comfortable. They accept dogs which are free and they loved it too!.
Rachel who looked after the bar and reception in the evening was brilliant. Thank you, I felt really looked after. Excellent value for money and good breakfast served up until 11.00 am with a corresponding late check out. I hope that they don't put their prices up!.
The owners and staff were most friendly and welcoming. Very helpful in advising us of places to visit. The food was exceptionally good. Peaceful location - ideal for exploring the beauty of the Trough of Bowland, the Southern Lakes and coast.
The staff were all helpful and pleasant. Room was different to many standard type hotels. Bedroom, bathroom and seating area. Spotlessly clean. Food was lovely. Excellent location for exploring Lancashire which has a lot to offer.
The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a dog and they were very dog friendly, he was allowed in the bar area, which was very nice. It would be very hard to find another restaurant so good in the area.
This is a lovely hotel in a superb little village. It reeks of history but with modern facilities. Dinner was super and some good beer on tap. The owner is a dynamic yet friendly lady and we felt at home. Plan to stay again.
Good quality toiletries. Big soft white towels. Shower screen, nt curtain. Good food. Lovely setting. Outside tables. Cosy bar. Decor. Ambience. Price. Value for money. Location: idylliic yet close to motorway.
Good ales on draught and decent food served in a pleasant atmosphere. Staff, especially Rachel, friendly and attentive to one's needs. Breakfast is cooked to order and served until quite late in the morning.
very friendly ,helpful staff, lovely clean room, cooked to order breakfast had to be one of the best ever, all fresh ing, even tomatoes were fresh ,plenty free parking ,easy to find jst 10mins off m6 south.
Clean, comfortable, spacious and light-and-airy rooms.
Building interestingly and sympathetically converted from real ancient priory.
Ideally located for Trough of Bowland.
Tranquil village location.
arrived early this was not a problem shown to our room clean comfortable enjoyed a wonderful evening meal and drinks sat outside breakfast was of the same standard as evening meal cannot fault at all.
Best kept secret in Bowland. Stayed with friends, all enjoyed the weekend, beautiful place in a fantastic location. The staff were really helpful, Great place to explore the Forest of Bowland.
Great room, fantastic decor, very good sized bathroom. Lots of "bits" that made the place quite exquisite. Good sized TV and working area. Good food and very friendly and attentive staff.
The location beside the Forest of Bowland is great, the building is historic and has been made attractive and welcoming and the owners are attentive and knowledgeable about the area.
This hotel is situated in a beautiful countryside village and whilst you could easily drive past it when you get inside and explore it is wonderfully quirky and a delight to stay in!.
Everything. Nice big corner bath to soak in . Good beer. Good food. Second stay in as many months and will stay again for sure. Its a PERFECT stop over for North/South travellers.
The room was very comfortable and the service which we received from the staff was first class. It made a very good overnight stay on our way home from Scotland.
The hotel is in a delightful village which is relatively close to the motorway. Our room was excellent as were the restaurant and bar. We will stay there again.
Very pleasant hotel ,comfy room good food friendly staff,we left something behind and it was sent to us within 2days,we would recommend to anyone .
Good breakfasts, staff helpful, dog friendly, good position for walkers. The Barn nearby good for novelty and plants and to spend an hour or two.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room was beautiful, staff great and the breakfast was exceptional.
I will certainly return, next time with my wife.
Helpful staff. Great restuarant with good food. Room very big and comfortable. One of the best value stays I have booked.
The staff were polite and always helpful and friendly.
The food was excellent and room facilities were good.

Quiet & peaceful setting. Staff extremely helpful & food lovely & great value.
Interesting building. Good dining. Lovely village. Easy access from m6.

Lovely character inn, very homey and welcoming. Staff polite and attentive.
he friendly welcome and smiling staf, the evening meal was very enjoyable.
The accomadation was good.
The food was exellent.
The service was good.
Convenient to M6. Staff efficient and friendly. Food was good too.
proximity to M6, friendliness of staff, beautiful surroundings.
Not one thing.
Wi Fi was hit and miss, but, not a lot you can do about that.
Nothing.
No faults at all.
The bedrooms were basic and small, not boutique as described on the web site. We booked a twin room in February, but one was not available when we arrived in June.
Are the double bedrooms too small to have two 3` beds zipped together that can be separated into twins as needed?
Also, a wardrobe with clothes storage would have been more useful than a two seater sofa.
We would have liked salad options on the menu.
Nothing, 10 out of 10.
Small concern, unable to have a shower in the morning as struggled with the water in the show, either cold or boiling hot for a second, then back to cold not very powerful. Informed that this may have been due to the water pressure and high usage at the time I was taking a shower.
Our room (Nicky Nook) was above the kitchen and the extractor fan was very loud. It turned off at night, but made relaxing in the room during the day quite difficult.
In the first half of the week, evening meals stop at 8 pm and the last orders in the bar are around 9 pm. If you're going to be late 'phone ahead and get Rachel to look after you with a cold plate. She's a star.
Televisions a little dated. Bar closed early.
The weather.
The water pressure seems low so we had interesting showers.
Small size of rooms. Danger of banging head on TV bracket. Clothes rail for hanging clothes was above dressing table and therefore useless! No wardrobe. Cheap and nasty coffee.
Don't accept American Express.
nothing atal.
Not much!.
Leaving!!!!.
Arriving in the dark. Was a lovely little village location with lots to see but had to leave early for work commitments.
Liked it all.
Nothing.
Nothing . My only remark is that the beds might be a bit small in some rooms for a couple being "standard" sized doubles. I was fine as I was alone.
Nothing.
Bathroom was cold, stone floors!.
There was nothing to dislike about the Priory other than to say the outside of the building does not do it justice so don't make a judgement based on that!.
There wasn't anything we didn't like, there were just a couple of minor details that could be sorted very easily, cobwebs in the room and around the bedside lamp, mildew on the shower head.
Shower was terrible with low water pressure and switching from cold to boiling hot! Everything else was good or better though.
Smelly drains in bathroom.
Nothing other than factn that if I arrived after 8.30pm I could not have ordered a meal.
Nothing.
Hotel listing mentioned facilities for disabled guests, but room
allocated was upstairs with only partial handrail. Had to go outside to
get from rooms to dining room etc and flag stone path was uneven and had
steps. Generally not easy for people with walking difficulties.
The dining room where breakfast was eaten was a little stark and quiet.
Bathroom could do with updating. Shower fittings worn.
Room a little on the small side. Free WIFI advertised, but wouldn't work in bedroom.
The bathroom could do with updating.
I found the room I was given o be a bit cramped with a very small bathroom. I would happily stay here again but in a different room.
Room had shower but no bath - didn't make a fuss as we were only there for one night - also noisy fan outside window, but it shut off when kitchen/bar closed so not a big problem.
