Each room has modern furnishings in a traditional style, with warm tones and tartan curtains. All bedrooms come with tea/coffee-making facilities and a TV, some also come with sea views. Fresh fish and seafood is sourced from Scalloway’s harbour each day and served in the bright restaurant. Shetland lamb and home-made bread are also on the menu, as well as a wide selection of malt whiskies. Just 5 minutes’ walk from Scalloway Castle and museum, Scalloway Hotel is only a 7-minute drive from Shetland Golf Club. The town of Lerwick with its ferry port is 10 minutes’ drive away.

Lovely hotel in an absolutely idyllic setting on Shetland mainland. Best food of our entire trip and a staff that made us feel right at home. We would consider this the only place to stay on the islands. The chef is first class and all the staff are very helpful , friendly and efficient. We liked the tweed theme throughout The crab cakes were the best we have had, even in Boston, U.S. !.
