3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

The hosts were very friendly. Even though we were there at a very busy family time (two daughters birthdays) we were made to feel at home. Wonderful peaceful setting with exceptional country views. Seeing the hatching of the blue tits was an added bonus. Easy access to Padstow and Port Isaac. -

We were going on holiday to St Ives and decided to travel on the Friday night with an overnight stop nearby, instead of Saturday morning to beat the traffic jams. Arrived here to friendly reception at about 11.30pm with drinks brought to room. Rooms were smart, breakfast enjoyable, dining area had outside terrace with views and location was absolutely perfect for our travel plans. Would recommend to anyone doing what we did.

The location of the hotel although being outside the main centre of newquay was ideal as Tolcarne beach was on the doorstep.
On arrival we were allocated room 9 which is probably the pick of all the rooms due to the lovely balcony overlooking Tolcarne Beach.
The hotel is spotless, as are the rooms with soft clean white towels and comfy beds.

I was very impressed with the Staff, from the time I arrived we were made very welcome from Eilleen, Micheal, then Joseph was excellant, nothing was a problem, basically all then staff where professional and are a credit to the Hotel. Our room was very clean and whilst not too large it suited us well enough. Lovely bathroom and shower. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast: yoghurt, fresh fruit, preserves, cereals, toast and cooked. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would certainly return. -

The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking.
