Everything! Very friendly, helpful owners Mike and Liz, nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation exceptional, very clean, comfortable and full of character, building /rooms renovated to a very high standard. Food great. Hope to stay here again soon!!!. Mike and Liz were very attentive and friendly and we had a lovely welcome on arrival. The room we stayed in was nice and comfortable with a particularly great view over the countryside. We would visit again and recommend The Old School to others.

The room was fantastic, the location was fantastic and the breakfast was amazing. Liz & Mike were absolutely fantastic, their hospitality was tremdous. Lovely clean B&B room was very spacious. Everthing concidred we cannot complain it was brilliant, to whicch we would most definately go back. My stay was only a short one but I would love to stay there again. Mike was very friendly and welcoming, the room was very good and the view from the lounge was lovely. All told the service was highly recommended. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights I we couldn't of picked a nicer friendly place to be the owers were a lovely welcoming couple the rooms are spacous with very comfy beds the views were lovely. The warm and genuine welcome. The unique style of the establishment, with attention to fine detail. Mike and Liz were excellent hosts and we felt welcome and cared for all the time. Thank you!. our initial impression of the old school was comfortable and cosy the children were made welcome and well catered for Mike and Liz were very obliging and we would definitely return. Mike and Liz were excellent hosts. The establishment has been renovated to a stylish and modern standard, yet maintaining the charm of the original school. Rooms are very large. Everything was excellent, the owners were on hand when needed and provided a great service in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was any trouble to them. Lovely peaceful location and handy for visiting Dumfries House and Burns Country. Friendly welcoming and delicious breakfasts. The peace and tranquillity of the location the beautiful scenery the friendly staff who made us so welcome. It was the best b/b we have ever stayed in. Total perfection all round. Will be returning and soon. I like the Setting, the house was different from the usual B&B nice big room and Very Good food. The ambience, and welcome were excellent. Breakfast is first class. The only negative about this was the sign wasn't clear to see in the dark we drove by twice as it was dark. Everything else was perfect. Nothing to dislike (apart from leaving!). there was nothing we didn,t like. No faults. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. There was not one thing we disliked. Nothing. Curtains didn't keep the sunlight out (minor point only). Nothing. Nothing. poor heating poor plumbing.
