It was lovely and the room was spacious and comfortable. ArdenGuestHouse is in the perfect location. Across the street from the oldest golf course in the world. If you like horses, there is also a race track. It's in Musselburgh, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Yet there are local buses that can take you to Edinburgh for the city or fun trips to Rosyln Chapel, castles or other tourist attractions. The family who runs the b&b is friendly, warm and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!. kaikki arvostelut »
Very friendly people, and a lovely large room with an extremely comfortable bed. If you're there for the golf or racing, it's just across the street, and the town centre is a quick walk away. A bus stop just in front takes you to Edinburgh city centre in about 40 minutes once an hour.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The guest house was gorgeous and very clean. Our room was en-suite, big enough with enough storage for clothes. Perfectly situated for travel into Edinburgh, lovely view out to racecourse. Would go back.
The location was great only a short distance by road to Edinburgh city centre for business. The views across the racecourse & golf course were excellent also the view across the forth was great too. Free Wi-Fi always helps.
The owner, Robert, was very pleasant and helpful despite the limited time we had to speak to him. The room was adequate for what I wanted, it was clean, the bathroom facilities were excellent and I would recommend it to others.
I cannot fault the host and their family. they went out of their way to make our visit one of the most enjoyable I have had in a long time. I had better service at this establishment than at a 5 star hotel.
I arrived very, very late to check-in. The owner, Ms Hamilton, was kind enough to wait up for me until well after midnight! It was above and beyond the call of duty!! Lovely guesthouse, lovely people.
Excellent staff assistance with early breakfast and group arrangement with another guest house to transport runners into Edinburgh for start of the marathon. Perfectly located for marathon finish.
Everybody of the family, the owner of the guest house is very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Room is spacious and good view to the golf course. Restroom is very clean.

Friendly welcome with lots of advice regarding nearby facilities.
If you miss the Indian restaurant then stay another night.
Friendly & helpful owners who offered to make reservations for us and gave useful advice.
Homely atmosphere.
The room was beautiful and very comfortable, very friendly staff and a great location for a day at the races.

The room was more than double the size I expected it to be also everything in the room was working.
Location next to Musselburgh Old Course. Great restaurant recommendation within walking distance.

The overall house was comfortable and the staff were friendly. I travelled with my sister to visit another sister in hospital so did't do the sights.
The room was very tidy although a little dated
The breakfast was very good although we needed it to be earlier than 815 but this was not possible.
Very kind and helpfull host. Tipical homey B&B amtosphere. Very clean, good breakfast in nice victorian dining room.
The breakfast was very good as well as the staff very friendly and helpful.
The boss is a good woman.
staff are friendly.
The accommodation was lovely and very clean, the location was perfect.
Not a lot.
The overhead light was very, very dim.
A little bit cold at times...however it was the end of November!.
Breakfast was extra & for £35 per night I expected an en-suite room.
Can't think of anything.
No top sheet on bed just a doona.
Bath room's facilities are quite outmoded.
extraction fan was noisy in the bathroom.
Nothing.
n/a.
nothing bad to say about my stay at the Arden.
Required to be at breakfast on time.
The fittings in the bathroom could be updated.
Not a thing.
Not a critisism, but parking could be a lottery, especially if racing is on?.
N/a.
TV was a little 'long in thr tooth'.
Nothing.
We couldn't find a decent restaurant on the main street to have a meal at lunchtime.
No water in room.
The letsbookhotel.com information for single rooms says"Most rooms have
an en suite bathroom." This is not true. All three single rooms on
the second floor shared a shower room. One of the single rooms had a
Velux window but no effective blind. In Edinburgh dusk was after 11pm
and dawn 3.30am making it difficult to sleep. The building shakes as
heavy traffic passes by.
the breakfast was lacking sausages / blackpudding.
Breakfast menu would benefit from expansion,.
Myself and sister, both in our 70's, were given the attic room which was freezing even though the heating was on. The house was full so we could not be moved. Too cold to even have a shower!!!.
The fan was very noisy in the bathroom and there was no hot water
There was quite a lot of noise but is usual for a Saturday in any town.
The bathroom was rather small and funny "pumping" toilet flush feature, but once you got used ot it it was OK. Bed was a bit too small for two persons.
The shower in room 3 was appalling and only luke warm. Room smelt of old cig smoke.
old fashion toilet.
No sausage with breakfast and no biscuits with tea makin facilities in room.
Our suite was very cold despite being told that the heating was on, having a shower was painful the shower head was broken and the water was tepid, there was no drinking water or toiletries we were very disappointed.
Bed was 30" wide with a mattress about 3" thick, the WiFi did NOT work on my room so had to sit on the hallway with my I-phone, not a good way to work. Booked and paid 120 pounds for 3 nights, left after the first night. I will request that two nights costs be REFUNDED to my credit card account. If this does not happen then I will never use letsbookhotel.com again.
