A nicely looked after traditional pub with up-to-date facilities and well decorated room. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent full English breakfast included. Evening meal was reasonably priced and of good quality. Good parking alongside, in quiet road. Good value.
Very friendly and forthcoming landlord. We were lucky enough to arrive on the second Thursday of the month thereby being witness to the pub's monthly music night with thrilling performances of up to 18 acoustic players. Fabulous experience!. kaikki arvostelut »
The fantastic hosting and food, friendliness of the people who were there. The breakfast is plenty to get you set for the day and the evening food outstanding too. The quiet location of the Lion makes it a wonderful break for all ages.

don't come here. If you want a genuine feel of local Lake District
and 15 minute drive to Lake ~Windemere and don't want to dress up -

Attentive Staff, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the food was lovely. Beef and Ale pie. A real fire gave a cosy feel. I always stay in Pub B&B's and the Red Lion ticks all the boxes. 10/10.
I thought the accommodation was of a high standard, the staff were very friendly and the scenery was amazing. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Peak District.
Clean and comfortable. The complimentary bottled water was unusual and a nice touch. Excellent cooked breakfast. Evening food tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. Altogether, good value for money.
The landlord was an outstanding host and I was accepted by the regulars in the pub on my first night. Very very friendly and welcoming... Great food and great drinks...

Very little ! Perhaps the fish pie and meat lasagne that we had in the evening could have been grilled a little longer to crisp the tops more.
