The staff were accommodating and very friendly, and were able to arrange a late check-in at very short notice. The room was clean, comfortable and fitted with everything necessary. The hotel has great transport links, equidistant to Sandhills, Bank Hill, and Kirkdale stations.
Place looks really dodgy from the outside but once you get in you will find the different place. Also the staff member was dealing very well with any situation we came across and was extremely helpfull. Would recommend this place to my friends with no problem.
The manager was friendly and helpful. The place is tidy. The price is reasonable. It was quiet at night. The continental breakfast was ample. The location fit our purposes well. There was an iron and board in the room. The bed was comfortable.
The staffs were friendly and helpful. Printed maps for us to go to Anfield and told us where to get food and stuffs. The place was very clean and wifi speed was fast enough to post pics on Facebook.
I had a clean and cosy room, the guy working there was friendly and for my last minute booking it was just 3 stops by train to the city centre.
Friendly, warm and welcoming.
Good service, Close to Liverpool, Easy access to the railway network, Great price and dog friendly.
I had a very good experience in the place. The receptionist was simply wonderful. I got a very good value for my money.
The price for the room was really good and it was very spacious and the staff where very friendly.
It's very cheap and basic and only 10 minutes to the city centre by bus.
Like the friendly man who always is kind and nice to talk to.
Helpful staff and a good connection to the city via train.
Good clean comfortable accommodation at rock bottom price.
So clean and confortable but a little far from the square.
Excellent value for money and both clean and friendly.
Great value for money, friendly staff, nice and quiet.
Helpful staff, clean and pleasant atmosphere.
it was in easy access of the train station.
Good place to spent night in Liverpool.
it was very clean manager very helpful.
Euan, the manager, so so friendly.
friendy staff and very clean.
Very cheap and a nice stuff.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Friendly staff clean rooms.
The Price.
Katie was very welcoming - giving advice on how to get to town without being prompted - despite my misgivings regarding the exterior the hotel is spotless -room and bathrooms - it is a good competitive place to stay - try it ! Chris.
I liked the very helpful staff, the cleanliness and the fact that it's close to two train stations, being communicated with Liverpool central in just 10 min.
Breakfast was very good for the price thy charge.
No frills. Very basic but you get what you pay for.
Don't pay skoda money and expect a bently. Ewan on the desk very helpful. Excellent value for lads working away and paying there own digs.
- nice lady at the reception
- 15 minute walk to Anfield Stadium
- Liverpool FC - YNWA.
If you just need a bed and basic facilities, this place is more than adequate.
The staff went out of their way to help us find where we were going.
central for our needs. comfortable, friendly staff, good facilties.
Fairly good value for the price and great location for Anfield.
it was cheapish.
The gentleman who served breakfast Thursday - Sundays; he was really helpful, I have certain diet restrictions and upon learning of them catered for them - he was very kind.
simple stay, sleep and go approach.
Room was clean. Shower hot.
affordable, clean, quiet.
Nothing special.
Only near from bus station and taxi can reach there easy.
the take away near by was excellent.
nothing.
Nothing.
It is on a busy intersection, which makes it noisy in the morning.
for the price and closeness to town - NOTHING!.
Nothing really.
The only thing was there was not a window to let some air in the room.
Nothing. I got what I paid for.
Breakfast was not on time.
Nothing.
Local area slightly downtrodden.
Transport links are okay to central, so may not be ideal for those looking for a weekend stay for nights out in Liverpool.
there was no balance between the heating and air it was too dry and affected my asthma.
beds to hard.
nothing.
Hard to find coming on the bus from Liverpool town centre.
Enviroment.
I was intimidated by the boarded up frontage with entry through a side locked door Chris.
The building and main entrance need some indications from Stanley Road. It looks like a closed building. The room was nice and clean but poorly isolated.
I couldn't sleep all night because of the wind banging the windows constantly.
- no bathroom
- pretty far from the city centre.
The location.
On the last night of our stay, Thursday 7th February 2013, being woken up at 1 am in the morning by some other guests making loud noise and banging doors on their way out. We had a five hour drive the next day.
it looked and felt as closed down as the pub below it +
being awarded European city of culture way back in 2008 does not justify a continental breakfast requirement, get the eggs and bacon out eh!.
It was very tired in appearance; the entrance in particular looked neglected.
the buidling site downstairs, although I was told it would not last long.
Breakfast costs more if you wait until you arrive at hotel and was not indicated on the site. No where to park, unless you park on the grass on the side of the road. It was not close to anywhere that was good to eat. Towels cost extra along with breakfast so it doesn't say much for B&B in their name.
tv was in a ridiculous place. Too high on wall to watch. Caused neck strain.
No cooked breakfast.
I've got almost what I paid.
First inprestion was i thought it was shut because it was boarded up.
All over.
the staff not the sharpest tool in the box.
Seriously , guys , shut it down or convert into another service like laundry or a shoe repair.
This was awful I am disgusted we had to pay extra to th room that we already booked and you put us in a different hotel that was disgusting. I want my money back.
The place was dirty, with no facilities and very far from the city centre.
