A beautiful hotel in a lovely countryside location. All the staff we met were extremely polite and helpful. The cost for bed and breakfast in a very comfortable room represented excellent value for money. Highest recommendation. Quiet in spite of a wedding reception in the hotel. Our breakfast table was nicely labelled with our name which I thought was a nice touch in a busy hotel. The gardens were lovely.

The golf pro made it possible for my husband to do a little chipping, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the whole experience was, could not fault it in any way. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. we liked everything, especially the breakfast, was really good. the service in the hotel and breakfast room was really excellent. The restaurant menu was poor and very uninteresting albeit it was adequately prepared and presented. I was the only diner in the restaurant on a Saturday night. Breakfast finishes at 9.30am on a Sunday. It should be at least an hour later. The room (115) was very old and smelled very musty making our clothes smell and the toilet flush doesnt work very well. The breakfast menu claims 'locally sources farm produce including eggs and dairy' but in fact when questioned the eggs were in fact not free range and neither the eggs or the milk were from local farms. Not having free range eggs on offer is unacceptable. Felt that the bedrooms could do with updating as they looked tired and not up to the standard that reflects the cost of the room. (£103).
