  Having lived in Devon all our lives it was a hotel we had passed many times in the past, wondering what it would be like to stay there. We were not disappointed. Yes it would have been nicer to have had a slightly newer more modern bigger room, but what we had proved to be adequate for the one night we stayed. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was more than adequate and I would have no reservation in recommending this brilliant B&B - I could fault nothing with regards to Ashurst Lodge, Torquay.
