  Heather was extremely nice and welcoming during our stay and we had a wonderful time at The Hedges. Breakfast is excellent and more than readies you for a full day of walking around the city.   All our stay was perfect. The bedroom was just like the one in the pictures. Very clean and comfy. Great double bed. Perfect with tea/coffee/chocolate facilities in the room. Double glass window. Dark and thick curtain to get the room dark at night. The road workers arrived around 7.30 in the morning but we were already preparing us for breakfast (monday to frida - The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner.   Staff lovely, very informative. The room was nice and big, very clean and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in! A fridge in the room which was helpful and a lovely settee for when you get back from a long day sightseeing! Got called names from some youngsters one evening after I declined to give them money. Would love to,come back.
