Fantastic time in a breathtakingly beautiful place in thr heart of the lakes! Ideal for exploring the northern fells! On arrival we received coffee and beautiful flap jack :-) me and my husband have been together 9years and can honestly say the evening meal is by far the nicest we have ever had- anywhere. Sarah and Rob are both very welcoming and could not have been more helpful! Well worth the money - we will be back! Very cosy lounge- lits of Lakeland books and magazines. kaikki arvostelut »
We had a fantastic time. We emailed them to day we would be arriving early and emailed straight back to say our room was ready. Coffee and tea on arrival. Lots of good advise on the local area, rooms clean and beautifully decorated. The owners were friendly and welcoming, the food was really good and will do evening meals if requested, have their own bar. Loved it, the location is perfect looking out on to the hills. We have booked again!.
The location and views of lake district peaks from Littletown Farm are truly stunning with several walks accessible directly from the farm.
The traditional english breakfast and evening meal were probably the best we have ever had in a B&B. Although quite small, our bedroom was very clean and tastefully decorated.
The hosts, Rob and Sarah are welcoming and provide homemade cake and tea on arrival.
Would definitely return.
It was lovely to explore the far side of the lake and stay in a 400 year old farmhouse. The weather was wonderful so the view of the mountains was stunning. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated with recently added sound proofing. Great restaurant nearby for evening meal if you are not staying in.
Our hosts were welcoming and were very helpful in planning activities during our visit. We enjoyed conversation about what life like in the Lake District. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Although the room was a bit small, our stay was a favorite because of our hosts extraordinary hospitality.
I really liked my stay at the hotel, as I was on my own and doing volunteering at a local stable yard. They were very accommodating and friendly and made me feel very welcome as I was on my own. Lovely food, clean bedrooms and brilliant views, very good for walking! Would definitely go again.
Rob was very kind and helpful, when we needed our walking gear drying out. we were given a warm welcome and helpful guidance about local walks.
The home cooked breakfast and evening meal was delicious. We didn't need to travel anywhere to eat out and other guests came to the farm to eat.
Fantastic location, right amongst the hills on a working farm, with breath-taking views in all directions. The staff were friendly but not intrusive. The room was very comfortable, clean, with appropriate decor. The breakfast was first-class and couldn't be faulted. Would love to go back!.
Absolutely delightful stay at Littletown Farm. The setting is unbelievably beautiful, the views stunning, the rooms cosy, the hospitality friendly and helpful and the breakfast was smashing.
Genuinely cannot think of a thing that could improve, and cannot wait until my next visit.
The owners are so friendly and welcoming and recommended a lovely drive, a great place to eat and a lovely hill to walk (just beside the farm). The room was so cosy and the view and surrounding area was breathtaking. I would defintely recommend to anyone.
We were welcomed as soon as we had parked which was very nice and showed our room. Everything very clean and all facilities excellent. Lovely meal on the Saturday evening. Brilliant atmosphere with stunning scenery right outside the bedroom window.
Wonderful place with excellent hosts. The family room is beautiful and the place a paradise for all seeking tranquility and nature. Wonderful breakfasts with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with salmon and much more. We will definitely return!.
We spent three wonderful days at Litteltown and would definitely recommend it (and come back!) for the following reasons: GREAT hosts, beautiful setting, fantastic food and walking paths starting right in front of the door! THANKS AGAIN!.
The owners and fellow travellers were freindly, resulting in a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Both the breakfast and the evenign meal were great. The venue is excellent, one can walk up the mountain (Cat's Bells) directly from the B&B.
Lovely friends staff and a real homely atmosphere. This B&B is et in the most beautiful location which really is unbeatable. You can literally walk staright up a mountain. The views are incredible and its a very romantic setting.
The location, the friendliness of the owners, the superb breakfast - pretty much everything. As a solo traveller being able to book a single (and very comfortable), room was great and having a 'common' sitting room was nice touch.
Accommodation was very cosy & comfortable, & exceptionally clean. Staff were very friendly & helpful, & even rescued us from being stuck in the snow. Food was lovely, especially the cooked breakfast. Superb location.
The ambience of the public rooms and conversation with the other guests.
The optional evening meal was excellent as was breakfast. Plus: its
relatively remote location in the Newlands valley and easy access to the
mountains.
I loved the location - the view from the bedroom was wonderful and there were many walks from the front door. We liked the fact that there was no television in the room. The breakfast was lovely and the owners friendly.
The beautiful surroundings of Newlands Valley, excellent accommodation, high quality and tasteful. Excellent food especially breakfast, welcoming host and family. Would visit again for a relaxing break.
The location - stunning scenery-the mountain views from the dining room. Homely, friendly,
good service,helpful staff.Ample room-large bathroom for my personal use.Lounge,cafe available for snacks,meals.
Food is delicious, a nice welcoming tea and homemade cake on arrival. Rooms very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Breath-taking views from the guesthouse and short drive into Keswick.
Wonderful location, stunning views, close breathtaking walks. Hosts delightful, great breakfasts, tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms. Off the beaten track and we'll worth the effort.
A very warm welcome and comfortable accommodation in beautiful country side. The evening meal was easily as good as a michelin star restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The host was very friendly; he treated us like members of the family. The cooking was superb and children were encouraged to hand-feed newborn lambs. The views were wonderful.
I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone. It is in the countryside and is so peaceful and calm. A great place to stop if you love the countryside.
Fantastic breakfast whatever you choose.
Evening meal by arrangement - no menu but amazing food.
Location awesome for walking/climbing.
Owners very friendly and helpful.
A really friendly place with great food. My wife is coeliac and they were able to cater for her without any problems. We will be going back staying longer when we do.
Friendly hosts.
Dog was welcome
Great location for walking.

Comfortable guests lounge.
Great breakfast.
Absolutely brilliant time, friendly, homely, welcome atmosphere, nice rooms, great location, first class food, well looked after by very nice people.
The personal touch from Rob and Sarah. They were very helpful and pleasant at all times. Very high level customer service with a personal touch.
Stunning view from our room. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast cooked perfectly and the best I've had. Will certainly be back again.
The location was great for hiking and loved the new lambs at the working
farm. Great hosts and breakfasts. Very clean amd mice rooms.
A warm welcome, very friendly staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Beautiful scenery and location.
Strongly recommended.
The surrounding countryside is just spectacular. The dinner and the breakfast were both delicious. The hosts were a delight.
Beautiful setting, friendly owners, great food, cozy room, helpful staff,
great hiking, would stay again in a heartbeat.
The excellent hospitality and cleanliness.
The rural remote locality with its far-reaching views of the Fells and Lakes.
Staff very knowledgable and couldnt do enough for me. Helped me plan a hike and were flexible with breakfast times.
Excellent location for walking. Very attentitive friendly staff.Very high standard of food and comfort.
delicious food, very friendly staff, lovely room, beautiful location and dog friendly.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was great.
Wonderful rooms.
Such a lovely place. The food was amazing and would highly recommend to anyone.
Friendly owners/ managers
No tellies in the bedrooms, so I could rest properly.
Very nice clean guesthouse with friendly staff. Great location and food too!.
The welcome and very relaxed friendly atmosphere in a wonderful setting.
perfect hosts offerring exactly whats needed in a remote Lakland setting.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Remote location good for walkers.
The hosts were very friendly, good food, facilities very nice.
I liked their hospitality the most. Nice place to visit.
Extremely friendly people and very good accommodation.
Would have loved a bath (but thats just picky and not at all a critisism) cant think of anything else.
Under exceptionally hot weather conditions the room was very stuffy so a fan would have been good!.
nothing.
n/a.
No TV in room however when you are staying in such a lovely outdoor focussed place this is not really a problem however would have been nice.
Nothing.
Care needs to be taken on accessing the farm house, particularly at
twilight, due to the narrow road with few passing places and an
inordinate amount of oncoming traffic as people return home from the
head of the valley. This was on a Saturday evening.
The wi-fi password wasn't obviously available and required some effort but this is a very minor quibble. The television room was below our bedroom and it was quite loud when we were in bed.
nothing.
I liked everything, but
the road was winding and it took time to reach Keswick.
Nothing.
One of the bedrooms was rather on the small side; another was rather cold. The living room was less modern than the rest of the house but still cosy.
Open fire would have been a bonus!.
Re-stricted phone reception, but then not sure if thats a bad thing or not!.
Nothing really.
No tv in room.
Make sure you have a detailed map to locate. Wish they had more
details on web site on how to find after getting lost. Easy to find
once we found.
Nothing!.
Leaving after only one night! I wish I'd stayed longer!.
nothing.
If dinner could have been provided - perhaps a basic menu with limited selection would have sufficed. After a long road journey or a hard day walking the Fells it would have been good to have the option of eating "In" rather than taking a 15 minute drive to the nearest restaurant.
bit of a long drive down the lane to get there and i suspect most sat-navs will give up as out of signal!.
Nothing.
Requires better directions to locate.
nothing.
Nothing.
Having to leave!.
soundproofing between rooms could have been better.
Room on the small side.
