The room was a large converted barn and well planned. It had a walk in shower and a freestanding bath and was designed beautifully. The bed was massive and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious outside in the courtyard and the staff were really friendly. It's in the perfect spot for the Henely regatta and the train station. Everything is easy to walk to. We love staying here, it has a central location within Henley near to the Thames. The rooms are luxurious with fantastic showers and the attention detail is spot on. The staff are friendly and professional and nothing is much for them. I would highly recommend staying here!.
kaikki arvostelut » The staff were all amazing. Betti, Baz, etc., made sure every detail was perfect. I don't think Betti slept for the week we were there for the Henley Royal Regatta. The food, bar, room were all wonderful. The location couldn't have been better. The room we stayed was so stylish and comfortable. I can't remember having such a lovely room in a long time. Thank you. The attention to detail was fantastic and for a top price room, they had included a good priced red wine in the minibar. We had a pleasant experience staying at the hotel. The deputy Manager called Alex was very helpful when we checked in. The hot breakfast was lovely and nicely presented. A really nice hotel and would stay again. I liked the professionalism of the staff, the quality of service and the style of the hotel. I ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent and not too over priced. Eating in the courtyard was lovely. Stayed quite a few times as a couple and with children. The hotel and location never let us down. Would always recommend. Great staff and well equipped and comfortable rooms regardless of budget. We were upgraded and incredibly well taken care when the hotel found out it was our wedding anniversary. An abyolutely lovely stay in a great room, had great food and just felt very pampered. Great Location close to the river Thames. Lovely old world feel with all modern conveniences. Just a few steps from the river. Modern style with large room and large bathroom. With the restaurant, bar, lounge and courtyard plenty of room to relax. Particularly good service: my wife is a bit disabled, and staff ensured an accessible room and carried everything. Pleasant, friendly service everywhere. Lovely room, and delicious breakfast. We shall stay there again. The hotel is within walking distance of everything we wanted. The food in the restaurant was delicious and we received a free carafe of wine with our meal which I thought was a nice touch. The whole experience was delightful as we expected as we have stayed in the same chain in York and found that also the same. The location is the best. Character building, peaceful courtyard, very comfortable room, staff, huge continental breakfast!. The ambience of the public areas, such as the bar and the snug, was very accommodating for a lone female. We had a great stay and not one of the four couples we was with could find any fault what so ever. The staff were all lovely and very happy to help. They worked hard and were knowledgable. The staff are very friendly & attentive. they bar & restaurant are lovely. The Bistro was nice. Bedroom. The Evening meal was excellent although staff surly. Nothing!. The rooms arrangement was a bit challenging. We changed rooms because even though the room was lovely, there was no room to sit or dress, etc. The room we moved to had more floor space, but the shower was open to the room. Unfortunately there was a large group of us for dinner and the staff didn't cope very well - forgetting small things like steak knives and bringing the entrees and mains out at the same time. However, my steak was really yummy!. The stairs - I was on the second floor with heavy bags. Breakfast was tasty but took 30 minutes to get an omelette. Breakfast staff was not in control, forgot orders, did not clean up, did not bring cutlery, cups etc so we had to do that ourselves. A petty and slightly irritating end of an otherwise perfect stay. The Pillows! They are probably very good pillows (feather I think) but they had no body and collapsed when you lay your head down. Would prefer firmer pillows for head/neck support. The room could do with two armchairs - the upright chair was pretty uncomfortable. The pillows weren't very comfortable! Our only complaint..!. I thought as we have been before to a different hotel from the same chain I explained it was my wedding anniversary and anything they could do to make our stay more delightful would be grateful but nothing was done or even said. Our room was street-facing, so an inner courtyard room may have been quieter (a lot of car traffic). Musty, damp smell in the bathroom, but it is an old building, so can understand. Can imagine that staying over the weekend, could hear the noise from the courtyard as all/most rooms overlook it. My room had some cleaning issues, which I addressed upon check out. I didn't like we wanted to change rooms after the first night due to room being far too hot, a noisy extractor fan just outside window which was on 24hrs and Toilet not flushing well. I have to admit I expected something a bit more special from the hotel but staff were great and moved us with ease. Ipod docking station didn't work, could have been cleaner attention to detail. Overpriced, based on location rather than facilities. Booked two rooms, one of which was a little tired. No water overnight due to leak, although the hotel resolved it as quickly as possible we were unable to wash until the morning. They did however reduce the charges. nothing. Nothing. Paying extra for car parking. Overly firm beds. Noisy air conditioning. Meals seemed a little rushed. The Service at the bar was very slow. The staff were trying to serve drinks in the restaurant as well as the bar - one glass of wine and a diet coke took 15 minutes and 2 reminders. Limited room service options. Quite expensive parking is extra. dark wardrobe needs some light. Noisy ventilation unit outside first room.Staff very helpful though and moved us to alternative room. The restaurant service was consistently pitiful during my three night stay. The hotel is a bit dated and could do with a freshen up. The room was fairly noisy with creaking floorboards. It also looked out onto the courtyard dining and smokers area that was noisy at night and breakfast time. when we arrived with the post code, we can't find the hotel. The receptionist we ask keep giving us the direction to the hotel, but when we told her where we are, she keep saying she doesn't know. in fact it's the same building & the hotel entrance is just 10 meters away!. The shower screen had a brown gunge where it met the bath My room was on the road and kept me awake most of the night with traffic. At one point my bed was vibrating during 'rush hour'. Car being moved out of paid for park without my permission to unknown destination. Possibly uninsured. The service was very poor I have stayed at this hotel before and it has deteriorated. Two hot drinks took half an hour to arrive and they still charged service.Also reception staff eating toast at check out is not acceptable.Next time on business will look for alternative.
