Set in the picturesque village of Elham, this refurbished 16th-century inn has en suite rooms, a traditional pub and a garden with views across the Elham Valley.
Just 10 minutes' drive from the Channel Tunnel (Eurotunnel), the Rose and Crown is also just 11 miles from Canterbury city centre and its historic cathedral.
Once a coaching inn, the separate, converted stable block provides easy access, The Rose and Crown also has a patio and serves real ales, an à la carte menu, a lunch menu and a traditional Sunday roast.
Walking and cycling can be enjoyed with the Elham Valley, whilst nearby Folkestone, 8 km away, offers a beautiful harbour and cliff walks.

Rose And Crown Elham - Channel Tunnel - Valokuvat
Mitä ihmiset sanovat
Pub was in tiny village of Elham, with a couple of shops (mostly closed
when we arrived mid afternoon) and a church. Rooms were separate from
the pub in a converted stable block with car parking and seating areas
for each room just outside. Decent sized room with comfortable bed and
small en suite. Staff were helpful and friendly. Dinner was pub food,
pleasant and traditional. The main plus was that it was a very short
drive (less than 10 mins) to the Eurotunnel. For anyone who was staying
long. kaikki arvostelut »
We had a very comfortable stay at The Rose and Crown in the beautiful
village of Elham. The staff were charming, the room was lovely and
spacious, and the evening meal delicious. Perfectly placed for the
channel tunnel. As we left too early for breakfast, the staff kindly
left a very generous breakfast tray in our room. We enjoyed our stay
thank you.
Rooms were very spacious and well furnished. Bathroom bigger than some lounges I have seen. Very friendly people. Dinner very good as was the breakfast. I don't want to say too much or I won't find a room on my next trip abroad so for question 5 below, I lied!.
The room was lovely, huge with beams and a comfy sofa The staff were very friendly Its a lovely pub in a beautiful setting The village of Elham is delightful and so close to the Channel Tunnel And the breakfast was one of the best we've ever had Thankyou.
Location is perfect: a small hamlet close to the Chunnel. But it also a very nice pub. And the rooms are spacious and well laid out, with nice, flatscreen tv's, beds and plenty of room around them.
At night the rooms are surprisingly quiet.
Picked the location as being close to family. John and Sue were very friendly, the bedroom was large, comfortable beds, spotless bathroom and the breakfast one of the best cooked breakfasts we have had for a long time. Hope to return soon.
We booked the Rose and Crown for access to the Channel Tunnel and were very pleased we found it. The pub was lovely, accommodation great and the staff really, really friendly Would stay again to explore the area.
Elham is a delightful village and the Rose and Crown is at ist heart. It is very much a Country Pub and the rooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed excellent Food and friendly Service.
Excellent location - small countryside village setting yet very close to Channel Tunnel. Very friendly staff - didn't arrive until 1:30am but still greeted by Landlord. Good pub food and draft ales.
The room was very large, clean and well furnished with a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very near to the Channel Tunnel making it easy to catch an early train.
Excellent room, excellent food, excellent value, why would you want to stay elsewhere, John the landlord and his team are friendly and attentive, can't recommend enough, thank you.
Excellent large room and bathroom in converted stable block. Good "pub" food and breakfast. Good beer, Nice location in small, quiet village.
Lovely large rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent and service was unobtrusive but attentive when required. Great value for money.
Friendly welcome, pleasant, helpful staff. Spacious room.
Good bar food and interesting, if short, wine list.
Log fire in the bar/restaurant.
The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Huge rooms, well equipped, nicely decorated. Very good food in the pub area.

We only stayed one night, after a hairy journey trying to find you. However, liked the hotel once we arrived.
Very friendly staff excellent location for the channel tunnel spacious clean room and good secure parking.
Large room clean and tidy. Good pub food. The small breakfast was huge. I would recommend it to anyone.
Everything - new owners, the third we have met, but nice room, good service, and excellent 'pub' food.

We're excellent. We will return and recommend the place to friends, etc.

Relaxed nice staff.
Location.
Quiet location, clean spacious room in friendly pub setting, good breakfast. Rooms separate from main building was convenient for late return to rooms.
Breakfast not available until 8am so we had a tray made up the night
before so we could leave for our early Eurotunnel reservation. It was
fine but I would have preferred a proper breakfast.
Not their fault, but due to licensing law breakfast started at 8.30. However, I can always book a later crossing!!.
The bathroom was not in good running order. The rail of the curtain for the bath collapsed during our stay, but by it's looks had done so before. Also I had trouble getting the water out of the tub. Nothing serious, just not perfect.
Nothing.
Breakfast was not available until 8.30 a.m. Making it impossible to catch the train if we wanted a cooked breakfast which was included in the booking price. A so called continental breakfast was offered in our room the night before but was not good at all. The shower was impossible to stop leaking onto the bathroom floor.
Nothing.
Nothing to dislike.
The downstairs room. Guests arriving back clumping around like wildebeest after a hard night on the Serengeti.
I would stay here again but NOT in a downstairs room.
Not that we didn't like it but unfortunately the couldn't do cooked breakfast earlier enough for us and we needed to leave at 7.50m to get a channel tunnel train. They do arrange a continental breakfast if you ask the night before, but the breakfast sounds lovely and technically it was included so a bit of a shame. Need to go back to sample a hot breakfast!.
We would have liked sitting outside a bit more comfortable
(chairs) and a garden.
We would like a second comfor-table chair and a small table for a suitcase in the room.
Hot water was not always sufficient.

Sunday night, we arrived after a long drive expecting food. Manager sent us to a;ub around the corner, The Kings Arms but the food was dreadful.
