Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through
letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so
attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. The price was nice and the sleep was good: these are main criteria for a good stay. The hotel itself is ugly, massive, chain-like, but people are okay, walking distance to town attractive, there is a park and a river road, so, I recommend this place!

I`m an Architect, specialized in hotels, been in 29 counties and hundreds of hotels, but haven't seen such amazing design, decor and luxury of fine details in each and every corner of this unique hotel. It`s beyond imagination. Staff were more than excellent. Food was great.

The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. Soft leather chairs and twinkly lights. The room was excellent with quality fittings and nights sleep. No noise at all through to the room and it was Christmas party time.
Continental breakfast was really wholesome so much so that my husband didn't miss his usual cooked breakfast.

The hotel is an excellent example of how to restore an old building (with history) into a very comfortable & friendly place to stay. We found the staff to be very helpful & welcoming. The dinning experience in the restaurant could not be faulted.
I liked the idea of the room names (but would have liked the names to have some relation to the buildings history).
