The hotel seems brand-new, the carpets in the long, slightly soulless corridors, still smelling new and fresh. I was very very impressed by the planning that has gone into this hotel. Every detail of the room had been carefully thought out to make things convenient and comfortable, except for the shower, which weirdly only has half a panel and ends up spitting water on the floor. I particularly praise the big, comfy bed and the soft bed linen, all leading to a good night's sleep. There is a.
kaikki arvostelut » Very nice brand new Business hotel located 5 mins walk from Aberdeen Airport. Very comfortable, clean rooms with excellent facilities. The breakfast offered was excellent. It only opened in July, so the hotel overall was very good. I think there was a £ 5 charge per night for parking, but can't be sure, as I did not take a car. Staff were new, and were under training, but very friendly. The restaurant did not have a big menu to boast about, but seemed okay. Brand new hotel opened the week of my visit. Cool room design, excellent TV/system, good bistro breakfast. Nice ambience compared to a neighbouring hotel where I have stayed on many occasions. A newly well designed & comfortable business hotel within minutes from ABZ airport & Dyce Industrial Estate. Upper floors, uneven room numbers, excellent for airplane spotters !. Very new Hotel, well-equipped room; even has a 'fridge. Fairly good location if you want to be near, but not in, Aberdeen City. (Bit of a building site just now, but will improve). There was nothing I disliked. food wasnt great in the evening thought the breakfast was good. To pay for parking???. sink in en-suite was a very poor design. very limited menu for evening meal. typical Aberdeen hotel, a bit pricey. Ha ha, not a lot. One little thing was the tv guide in the room was unavailable, so I had to go online to find out when a specific programme was starting. It was however available on the smaller units in the restaurant booths. Staff were courteous but English wasn't their first language and this proved a slight hinderance! There was no room service available at the hotel as this service is not offered at this hotel, disappointing! Quite expensive considering what was offered at this hotel, a canteen type bistro, no gym, no pool, no room service, no concierge and no bath just a shower but £175 for one night with no breakfast included again disappointing. I didn't like the lack of hotel transport to and from the airport terminal. On arrival I had to walk to the hotel uphill with my luggage and on departure had to walk to a bus stop to get a bus which I missed after being given the wrong time, then walking to the terminal with three bags which was difficult with two hands!. Unable to use my English visa card with a signature, therefore had to use my overseas one and have conversion exchange rates on top. Lobby/Reception space to confined, Restaurant to small, Bar area not separated from eating area and also to small, T.V sound mingling with the restaurant music in restaurant.washhand basin to small and partially underneath lighting overhang. Price. Very satisfactory,no problems. Liken the rest of the options prices are ridiculous for a short overnight stay before an early flight but that is just Aberdeen. The bar closed before 11pm and the drinks available after that were limited. Hotel is brand new so staff are unfamiliar with systems and took a long time to check in and out. Bar was closed early as the floor was being relaid. Unfortunilty the floor in the bistro area was under repair, which left me having a meal in my room. My overall stay was quite pleasant. My only complaint was the taxi firm which I booked my taxi from, was l0 minutes late on picking me up to take me to the airport on departure, he didn't apolize for the delay, didnt help me with my bags. Found him unhelpful and extremely unpleasant. Was very pleased with hotel. Cannot get a morning call, this is pathetic. Paying for parking. Nothing. Limited choise at the bistro. Very busy at all times of the day. Aberdeen just does not have enough hotels!. Nothing of note. No courtesy bus to the airport. Check in slow staff not fully trained on computer system. the breakfist menu to be improved a bit, but also it was fine. Parking charge of £5 per night. Nothing to complain about. having to pay for parking when staying in the hotel. having to give a £50 deposit on arrival, just in case I wanted to use the Bar, Shope etc. Could provide a free transport service to local heliport aswell as airport as there is about a 2 minute driving difference. booking in took far too long. there were queues out the door and two girls on reception who took ages to deal with each person... Also no provision for breakfast before 6am. Thats bad for an airport hotel. Receptionist never knew what she was doing and the door wouldnt work frome the outside coming in. A bit more expensive than what I usually pay. Reception staff where very inexperienced. The food was terrible and costly for what it was. The quality was more like a roadside cafe. Very expensive for what i have paid for , in the middles of no where far from the city , hotel does no even offer a shuttle the near by airport or industrial area. Person before me had set an alarm for 03:20 and it went off... I was not a happy camper! Parking fee of 5 gbp not advertised or revealed until I was checking in. (Add on fees are not professional for this class hotel and this price.).
