Nice straightforward pub rooms, as long as you know what to expect for the (very reasonable) price you'll do fine. Rooms are basic but clean and quite sufficient. Pub itself is a nice local spot, good food, friendly staff. Rooms are upstairs at the back of the pub, but noise wasn't a problem, including over a weekend.
Location ideal, in the middle of the village, next door to the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre - jumping off point for (excellent) hillwalks of all levels around the area. 5 min. kaikki arvostelut »
I liked the hotel because iI looked clean and inviting...staff were very polite and were able to accommodate a request my partner made...there were ''no if ands or buts''...just a friendly smile and a ''certainly madam, not a problem.'' The price was very competitive for the room we had although maybe the room was a little small but was comfortable and the food was excellent! For a hotel I have to admit the dinner was of high quality and cooked to our perfection..I would recommend this hotel .
For the price this hotel is lovely. In fact we stayed other places that were rated better and dearer but this was better. The room had been recently updated and was spotless and roomy (we had a twin room). The tv was new and the sheets white and crisp. We had dinner downstairs and the food was fresh and tasty, no nasty frozens. this hotel should charge more, you are getting a bargain. Please note that breakfast is not included but we found we did not find this uncommon on our trip.
the inn was perfect for my project of tracing my family history all the villages that my ancestors lived in were close by within 10 miles from craven arms The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent for the price plenty of everything also the locals of the inn were also friendly in fact on my last nights stay was brilliant with the entertainment I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMEND IT TO ANY ONE.
I was welcomed warmly when I arrived and all staff were very pleasant. My room was clean, comfortable and had a good shower. It was nice to have use of the pretty beer garden as the sun was shining all weekend. The location is great for walkers as it's next to the Secret Hills Discover Centre, there are various footpaths right on the doorstep and it's only a short bus/train ride to Church Stretton and Cardingmill Valley.
Friendly, warm and helpful staff, the beds were very comfy and the room was nice, could have done with secondary glazing in the room we stayed in (room 4) but sufficient for our needs, however the bathroom could have done with an upgrade but once again sufficient. The breakfast was fantastic and all local produce so highly recommended, constant supply of drinks, inc tea and coffee and toast.
The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The inn has been refurbished and is clean and very pleasant. We had dinner, which was well cooked and delicious and a very substantial breakfast. The owner chatted in a friendly but not interfering way- just right! We would stay again when in the area.
B&B in a good location for trips throughout Shropshire, Herefordshire and the Welsh border. Breakfast very good, and evening meal good and reasonably priced. Bakewell tart with homemade custard excellent. Staff very friendly and good service. Family room a good large size, well heated and a decent shower.

Friendly staff- Solid walled rooms- great food and drinks in a proper pub- the kids loved it too! Loads of games to play in the bar- connect 4, draughts etc... and prices were very reasonable- we will be back!.
Nothing fancy, we had a good nights sleep. Plenty of space in the room. Staff friendly and took care of us very well. We enjoyed both and evening lite meal and full English breakfast, both were very good.
The staff where lovely and helpful the food was wonderful. The location was great as Its a lovely town and not far from where we wanted to visit. Ludlow. The rooms where good for what we paid.

Friendly helpful staff and good food and good value for money. Very convenient for the town centre and the Shropshire Hills- we were on a walking holiday with a group.
The bed linen and towels were really clean and sharp.
The menu was limited but the food was well cooked and well presented.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
Nice bar, interesting building, good pub food with a great breakfast. Near Stokesay Castle and the countryside of the Welsh borderlands. Good place for walkers.
Dinner & cooked breakfast - quality ingredients perfectly cooked. All quiet before 11pm, despite room being above bar. Friendly staff. King size bed.
Food was excellent and service from all staff was second to none. Staff could not do enough to make us welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
The management and staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was excellent, using local wholesome produce, at very reasonable prices.
Pleasant greeting at reception, helpful staff and management. Safe parking and convenient for South Shropshire amenities and attractions.
The location was ideal for us to visit my family. The landlord was very welcoming. The meal was excellent quality, quantity and value.
A lovely pub with great friendly staff, a warm welcome awaited us on our arrival. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had.
only stayed for one night but everyone was very friendly, beds were very comfortable and a good breakfast the next morning. Thanks.
great location, very friendly staff, fantastic breakfast superbly cooked to order, nice basic room, with beautiful scenery nearby.
Big room, nice staff, excellent food, though breakfast was extra (great Sunday lunch), reasonable price, close to castle.
i liked the guiness and the staff very sociable food very good room alright needs updating will stay there again.
The staff were warm and welcoming and it is clear that they are making every effort to make the Inn a success.
Quiet room away from the main road with a comfortable bed. Evening meal very good with excellent service.

Great value pub hotel. Attentive staff. I had dinner there and it was huge and good quality.
Very friendly and helpful staff...great location for me, ie close to client p/up address.
Convenient location for our purposes. Very good value for money, excellent tv reception.
The management and staff were lovely , the food was fantastic and the local beer perfect.

Very comfortable beds.
Excellent Breakfast
Outstanding value for money.
Friendly helpful staff, very comfortable bed and very clean rooms.
Very comfortable, with friendly staff. Very good value for money.
Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonably priced based on two sharing.
Apart from the size of the room as a double I could not fault the hotel, it's staff or location.
nothing everthing was great.
It would have been nice to have a cupboard or some drawers to keep things in - but this was a minor drawback.
Nothing really- for the price paid it was excellent.
Bed too soft for me.
Breakfast priced at £7.50 is reasonable but for 3 people paying for breakfast on top of the room price makes it a little bit expensive for what it is. I would have preferred breakfast included in the room price and the room price increased slightly.
nothing.
Tiny suggestion...cereal choice could have been a bit more imaginative..perhaps some nice meusli and fresh fruit.
the music in the bar was loud.
Radio 2 on at breakfast - some of us prefer complete silence to allow for conversation at mealtimes. As the only diners, we could have been asked if we wanted the radio on or off.
Larger bath towels.
tv was a bit high on the wall- And that's all I can think of! This is s great down to earth pub hotel.
The car parks not very big but there wasa place next door you could leave your car. The rooms where in need of a lick of paint and a few cobwebs.
Nothing - this is a great place to stay.
Old fashioned cramped room with small wardrobe.
The bedroom and ensuite was in need of decoration.
Bedroom had a large unheated bathroom that meant it was too large for the size of the radiator to heat the room and bathroom well on a cold, wet night.
If there is a late night party booked in this otherwise quiet and peaceful Inn ,one might be disrupted by the stay-up-late residents returning to their rooms. I still enjoyed the 2 night stay, despite these things and would consider staying again.
Continental breakfast - little choice & poor value. Shower - low pressure.
General decor could do with a little freshening up. Otherwise First class.
Just briefly at around 8.00 in the evening I was becoming very vexed as somebody began playing very loud 'music' - so discordant and tinny was it that 'noise' is a more apt word. Fortunately, maybe another guest complained because it was suddenly stopped.
there was an annoying hum,i think from a generator thst kept us awake.
nothing.
Breakfast not served until 08:30 which is too late for most business travellers so had to miss it. A continental option on a tray would be a good idea.
No locking of bathroom door in room 8.
Had to wait for coffee until just about finished breakfast.
It's a long time since I slept in a bed less than 5 miles wide.......nearly fell out twice....LOL!!!.
Perhaps a little noisy late at night but this could have been expected and it didn't disrupt either.
Leaving.
A little lacking in atmosphere, could do with some more imaginative decor.
No complaints - it was better than you might expect for the money.
Bedroom was basic and without frills. Not a problem but it could be a little more welcoming.
There was nothing we were unhappy with. The building shows her age somewhat but for the price we were well satisfied.
Breakfast didn't start until 8am.
Nothing - it was fine.
