The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts and dinner were good with plenty of choice. Parking allowed us to walk everywhere we went which was very good. Circencester has lots of history and there is plenty to do. A great stay. Proprietors were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was small, but very clean and comfortable and breakfast (full English breakfast, but there were other options if one preferred) was first class. Would stay again. Douglas, Canada.
kaikki arvostelut » This is the third time that I have stayed in the Talbot Inn & would thoroughly recommend it. It has to be one of Cirencesters best kept secrets! I have stayed in 3 other well known more expensive hotels in Cirencester but much prefer the Talbot inn. Very quiet pleasant rooms. My shower was better than the one I have at home. Great breakfast. We used the Talbot as a base for exploring the Cotswalds and would recommend this to anyone with similar plans. The food was great so tasty, comfy bed, the location was great just round the corner was the town,and the parking on site, the hosts Ann and Dave where wonderful, so inviting and friendly. Everything, from the friendly reception to the hearty and wholesome food. The room was comfortable and spacious; the pub and dining area warm and welcoming. very friendly owner,made us feel so welcome. warm and cosy bedroom. lovely breakfast. only a two minute walk into the town centre. free parking. lovely old inn, good breakfast, really friendly owners, quiet and perfect location for us to get to Cotswold Water Park. Friendly welcome by Ann. Comfortable room with toiletries. Nice breakfast. Nothing too much trouble. Free wifi. Warm welcome with friendly management and staff who made it clear that they were there to help if required. She accepted my request and deleted my son's allergy fruit. I really appreciate that. We were pretty close to Bath, but its best to take a bus to Bath to avoid the large amounts of traffic. Overall the room was ok. It was my husband and I and our older daughter, and we were climbing over each other to get to the bathroom. They left cookies, and coffee and tea for us each day and cleaned the room as well each day. The owners were very friendly. The Talbot Inn was okay for our 1 night stay. The staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. The room was clean and breakfast was okay. It appeared that the Inn was struggling [like many english pubs]. It's okay for a short stay if you only want a bed for the night.Good luck for the future. The room was comfortable and large. Very good shower. Location good for the centre of the town. No complaints whatsoever!. Leaving the Cotswalds. Quite warm in the room. Perhaps the option of a top sheet, because I didn't need the doona. awkward position to complete payment and use credit card. The stairs to the attic room and the table and chairs on the landing needed to be swept of dust, leaves and cobwebs. staff were a little vague on transport out of cirencester. bed not too comfortable. A bit shabby from the outside and poor wine choice. the weather!!". The town itself seemed to close down at 5pm unless you want to hang out in a pub. Which means not alot of access to food dinning and no shopping. The hotel is starting to look a bit past its use by date. The outside area needs tidying up, and needs a bit of maintnance. The rooms are showing there age and the bathroom was very small. Not very good value for what you got. Inside of the pub a little in need of restoration. It looks 'sad' from the outside. Room 5 ceiling beams so low that there was always a danger of banging one's head for anyone above 5 fee tall!!!. Unfortunately, the room had recently been painted and there was quite a strong smell. We thought the confined space & a tiled step up to shower made it awkward/dangerous. Window that had been left open to air the room had let in half a dozen or more mosquitos. The whole place needed a lot of TLC and the gardens needed a workpoer.
