Firstly I would like to say that the people who run the place were very friendly and helpful and the most hospitable people I have met in my experience of staying in a wide variety of hotels.
The place was spotless and extremely fresh with an expert touch on the decor.
The breakfast in my opinion was cooked to perfection.
Really couldn't think of a bad word to say about Downsfield Bed & Breakfast as it's also very well situated especially as I do not drive and could jump on a bus literally . kaikki arvostelut »
The cleanliness and look of the B & B was exceptional. The way it was decorated was lovely and modern. Made us want to come back to the accomodation abit earlier to chill out. We stayed at the st ives harbour hotel and spa two days previous and just added on Downsfield to the end of our stay, but i would definatly return to Downsfield eveb though its further to get to town it was a much more nicer and homely place to return too. The price was reasonable too, making us want to return as a wh.
Everything about our stay at the Downsfield was brilliant. It was very clean, beautifully decorated,wonderful breakfast,lovely location.Most of all owners Sharon & Phil were so helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them.It was my birthday during our stay & they were so kind they came to our room with a cake & glasses of bubbly! will most certainly recommend to our friends & family. You can park on the drive of Downsfield, which makes life very simple. There is a bus stop right outside with frequent buses to St. Ives. The house is really bright and fresh with a nautical slant-and spotlessly clean. The owners are friendly and most helpful (I was given a lift to the Tate to save having to find parking on a busy Saturday). The breakfast was the best I have ever had in B&B or hotel, beautifully cooked and so tasty.
This B&B was the BEST that I've ever stayed. Lovely and hospitable hosts who dropped us off twice (include one day in the heavy rain) to St. Ives. When We arrived, they offered us tea, several biscuits and cute cupcakes. They have amazingly cute room decorations. Really tasty breakfast. The bathroom was shared, but it was very clean and nice. Whoever is going to St. Ives, Cornwall, really should stay there!.
Sharon and Phil run an excellent B and B and the furnishings and decor are quite beautiful. They are a half hour walk into town or the bus is over the road. The Italian restaurant over the road is very good and the cost cutter shop is very handy for supplies. Downsfield was an excellent chose for us. Wonderful dining room with many extras such as daily papers and the breakfast choice was as good as you get.
Everything! Phil and Sharon were very warm and friendly, kind and willing to go out of their way to help. I didnt want to leave!
The decor was fresh, light, and charming. They obviously put a lot of thought and planning into the B&B

Phil & Sharon were very friendly nothing was to much trouble I would certainly visit again and have already recommended them to a friend. Every thing was clean and comfortable and little details added to make it special. Big breakfast to keep you going all day. Overall excellent.
Everything was lovely from the nice welcome with tea and cakes to the lovely room. Everything was decorated beautifully and the bedding was gorgeous. The house smelled lovely. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh orange juice and all the trimmings as well as newspapers.

Everything! More specifically, the OWNERS (Phil and Sharon were both super-friendly and very helpful, without ever being intrusive), the DECOR (newly decorated with fantastic taste and to a high quality) and the BREAKFAST (very, very tasty and stacks of it).
The staff at Downsfield B&B were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were decorated beautifully. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Private parking is essential as parking is limited in St. Ives' narrow streets. I would definitely come back.
What should i say about the hosts...i have never seen better hosts..the B&B is close to Carbis Bay but a bit far from St. Ives....We were dropped off personally to St.Ives by our hostess...Lovely people....and yes, the breakfast next day was amazing....
The see view room was very spacious and comfortable. The couple who run the b&b are very pleasant and hospitable. The place is a convenient walk from St Ives. There is a bus stop right in front of the house, which makes commuting rather easy.
My mum and I really enjoyed our stay and it is the best BnB we have stayed in. It was so clean, tidy, great location, parking and breakfast was excellent. The owners are lovely people and can't do enough for you. Thanks for everything x.
Every thing, very friendly welcome, very helpful landlady and landlord, lovely feast of a breakfast, room was very clean, lovely decor, really nice comfy beds, great bathroom facilities, shower was great! All round so lovely.
Honestly never expect a b&b like Downsfield, very clean and tidy, everything looks brand new, staff are nice, loads of lovely decorations interior, massive delicious breakfast, massive choices. I strongly recommended.
The owners were wonderful and very accommodating. They couldn't do enough for us. The accommodations were top notch as the home is totally refurbished. The owner even offered to take us into St Ives.

Just a bit far from town center but it only takes 10 mins for heading there by car. But you never find such a great 5 stars B&B with 1 star price.
No credit cards were accepted but we had the money to pay but it could be a deterrent for others.

Only negative is that bedrooms are advertised with En-suite facilities - it's not - everyone shares the bathroom. I wouldnt have booked this accommodation had I have known this.
