Rare cigars are available to purchase and guests can sample wines from around the world in the Laroche tasting room. Local produce is served on the modern European menu in the Bistro du Vin. A wide range of drinks are available in the stylish bar, which features a wooden-beamed ceiling. A 24-hour front desk is provided at the Hotel du Vin. A plasma TV is included in each boutique-style room. Free wired internet is available in every room. The Pub du Vin is located next door and serves local ales and unusual bottled beers. The Brighton Dome, an arts and music centre, the Royal Pavilion, a former royal residence and the Pavilion Theatre are less than 10 minutes’ walk away.

The location is great...right by the sea front and with easy access to the best areas of Brighton's dining and shopping. The old building used to be wine merchants and has a beautiful staircase and reception area. Our accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped...including the feather pillows that we had requested. The service from Baldo on the front desk was great...although he was clearly too busy to cope with all demands and requests that were queuing for his attention. The bar staf.
kaikki arvostelut » Everything about the stay was excellent, from the moment we dropped our bags off (earlier than check-in) to actually being shown the room (bed was so comfortable), to the bar and bistro. Found all staff excellent, very friendly and very helpful (recently back from Las Vegas where I stayed in a supposed luxury hotel! everything was the complete opposite too the Hotel du Vin). Both of us wished we had booked that extra day!. The Hotel is located in a rustic cul de sac, tastefully decorated with an at home feel to it right from the entrance. The lounge right at the reception is absolutely well decorated and has friendly staff. The rooms are tastefully designed with Bowers and Wilkens docking stations which makes for good entertainment as you relax. Rooms have spacious showers and tasteful bath tubs. I loved the unique style of every individual room. Stayed twice and each time more than pleased and excited with our rooms. Darkstar was ou first superb room then the junior ocean view smw can't remember full name but to do with whiskey . Service of high standard. Bistro excellent!!!! Food out of this world, can't wait to stay again love it !!!! Thankyou!!!. I love all of the Hotel Du Vin hotels. The rooms are consistently comfortable with great bathrooms. At Brighton, the restaurant is excellent quality and value for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar area is welcoming and relaxing. The Bistro, despite them serving the wrong main course - Staff were attentive and apologetic. Espresso machine in room. Lovely shower. Reception & bar staff very friendly & helpful. We were offered the option of upgrading our room which was superb. The choice of breakfast was excellent and extremely tasty.We intend to book this hotel on our next visit to Brighton!. our room - in the pub part of the hotel - had a bath in the room where i was able to have a bath and watch a film in bubbles!. Great location. Good atmosphere in bar. V. Friendly staff at reception. Huge bathroom. Comfortable bed, well stocked mini-bar. The junior suite was beautiful. The decor screamed decadence and the roll top bath in the room was simply perfect. Really friendly staff and lovely surroundings; my partner and I will definitely be booking to stay there again. the monsoon shower the size of the bed and the pub bar was a very nice place to be. the building was stunning. Our room (Beringer) was overlooking Ship Street. With the window open at night for some fresh air, it was very noisy with local rowdies ( the Brighton soccer team were playing at home) and the early morning rubbish collections. So sadly, we didn't get to sleep well. I would suggest requesting an inside room if you don't want to splash out on the two suites that have sea views. Wish we could have rooms earlier. Noisy location - but can't be helped as it's just set back from the beach and the party town of Brighton. Hard to justify price paid for size of room. Very small for what's described as a superior double. Web photos suggest more space. Wasn't expecting to keep bumping into end of bed! Perhaps we were unlucky and ended up with the smallest one?! Part sea view though. Wall above bath was cracked & stained. If considered to be a luxury hotel, then small details like this need attention. nothing. Bar was too dark in daytime. Bedroom very small, did not feel very 'luxurious'. Did not realise it was going to be part of an annexe, thought it was going to be in the historical main hotel building. Very disappointed having stayed in Birmingham Hotel du Vin which was far superior. States in check in details that every room had tv/ DVD player. DVD player was provided after asking.. Think details need to be updated. the pillows were too soft so your head was just resting on the matress. the food at the bistro was very expensive but good. Broken tap & fluctuating shower temperature. £3 surcharge for hot breakfast given cost of room. Need to book in advance for table in main dining room. A minor criticism is that parking is not on site but a 25% discount is given. parking and check in rather chaotic. felt for the money the check in/out times (particularly leaving on a sunday morning) were tight. There always seemed to be bedding etc. on the stairwell leading up to the room The location in relation to the Parking is a pain There was a constant hum in our block from some kind of generator. The phone in the room didn't work, so I had to walk downstairs to order room service. Staff let it down this time round. Nothing at all. It seemed understaffed-receptionists-waiters all seemed under pressure. Parking wasa problem on a busy day. I was also very disappointed to book on line only to find that I could have booked a far better Dinner B&B deal direct. Very pricey, especially weekend nights. No complimentary watet. All wonderful!. The pillows. 11am check-out. Pillows. Room lacked character - bland. Mirror in bathroom not practical (due to size of sink unit)for shaving / make-up - also had bad light. Breafast was not upto standard. Noisy! Whilst located in a quiet road, up to 2 am there was noise from the street especially from the party goers within Brighton. No lifts. Room maintenance an issue too. We paid £185 for a shoebox of a room with no window and a 4ft6inch bed. We travel a lot and dont mind paying for a nice room in a nice hotel but we felt this was a rip-off. We were attending a wedding in the hotel and in hindsight should have got a taxi home, it would have been cheaper. We also felt the public areas of the hotel were "tired". Reception staff didn't seem very knowledge about the local area, eg the walking route to the train station. Noise at front of hotel. Too much crammed into room for its size. Im afraid we did not get any sleep as the noise from the nightclub and the street was relentless. We felt we paid a lot of money for no sleep. Shame as we had been looking forward to staying there. I had been to a wedding and fortieth birthday celebrations and had enjoyed both. I think that if you are renting a room Concha y Tora guest should be made aware of the possibility of disturbance andthe price should reflect this. Price. £270 without breakfast Small room Noise Uninformed staff No breakfast until 8am.
