In the Lake District National Park, the White Hart is a 17th-century inn, in the village of Bouth. There is free private parking, and traditional Cumbrian breakfasts are provided.
The White Hart has homely rooms with tea/coffee facilities and original oak beams. Some rooms have woodland or countryside views.
Full of character, the cosy bar offers a large selection of ales and malt whiskies. There is a traditional food menu and an outside terrace.
Halfway between Lake Windermere and Coniston Water, White Hart Inn is a 20-minute walk from magnificent views of the Rusland Valley. Local leisure pursuits include climbing, fishing or cycling.

The inn was as described. Staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating. The food and real ales were excellent. The pub had a very good local atmosphere.
Very convenient for touring the lake district, a car is necessary to get from Bouth however you only have to drive 10 minutes to lakeside where the Windermere Ferries depart from. Three pounds 50 parking all day and a freedom of the lakes ticket allows sufficient time to go to Bowness and Ambleside by boat and cruise the whole lake. Short . kaikki arvostelut »
The hotel was a welcome sight in a beautiful location after a 2 hour drive from the Midlands. It provides an excellent base for touring the south lakes area, and access on to the coastline. The hotel provides great food (evening and breakfast), comfortable rooms and friendly welcoming staff. As a family of 4, we had an entertaining evening in the pub with a nice meal. Family friendly and easy to find. Would highly recommend.
I loved the location it was idyllic
The food was amazing, Tea and Breakfast.
The walk with our dog was great, dry, sunny and chilly, idyllic also.
Staff were lovely and made sure you were happy at all times!.
This friendly and unpretentious pub was a good place to relax. The bedroom was very clean and adequate for our needs at this price. Bar food was fresh and generous of portion. Breakfast was well cooked.
Very comfortable Clean Room temperature was great Quirky nature of where

The location and food were good and the lady serving breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and quiet.
I couldnt fault the staff, all very friendly. Breakfast was lovely and location was perfect!.
nothing would never go back VERY poor staff need to learn manners.
Nothing to dislike about our stay at all.
Would have liked ensuite in family room but not a problem as bathroom opposite room and always available.
The noise of the barrels on a night was not good.
Said it was dog friendly but dogs not allowed in pub whilst you eat, which meant leaving dog in room and he just barked and barked, so had to return to bedroom straight from eating and stay in room all night. Where if we could have had him in a designated area, he just would have sat and we could have enjoyed the bar and comfort of the fire :-( we just won't take dog next time, which would be a pity as the walks are great!!!.
Nothing.
Short period for breakfast - 8.30 - 9 am Children getting the
better room as we were told that they were identical as we were
taken up to them.
Nothing.
nothing i did not like.
Shower in bathroom was very difficult to regulate but I am just being picky now!.
Previous reviewers that are critical about phone signals ( couldn't
get one, great!) dogs in the restaurant (thank goodness) and low
ceilings!!!!!.
Loud noise from the cellar fan located directly beneath the room window. Had to ask for it to be turned off even though the host knew we were in the room and didn't object to turning it off. Although the restaurant food was good, I felt it was a little overpriced.
The only thing that bothered me was the mattress - it was a bit too hard & hurt my back.
It was a little out of the way.
Cramped but that was the nature of the building.
nothing.
breakfast was a bit too early.
8.30 - 9.00. No option of in room or a little later.
It was all pk.
nothing to dislike.
Nothing.
Nothing all great.
Nothing.
Shower wasn't good. Room decor was a bit "tired".
Having to go home and end our stay.
shower.
The barstaff were more interesred in serving and chatting with the locals than attending to others. We stayed in the bar area Monday evening and were very disappointed. We ate elsewhere the rest of our stay.
I would have preferred a shower but that may have been my fault for booking and not checking. Also my boyfriend is quite tall and the bed length was a bit short!.
nothing.
food you need a bank loan go in to next village to the farmers arms lovley staff and food so AVOID the white hart.
