Hotel Miramar is an Edwardian building featuring Roman inspired pillars and curved balconies that overlook the sea and the landscaped gardens. Located less than a mile from Bournemouth town centre and offering free Wi-Fi and free private parking. The award-winning chef serves such delights as Tempura Prawns and Roasted Cannon of Lamb from the seaview restaurant, as well as a traditional Sunday lunch. Afternoon tea including sandwiches and scones are offered from the Ocean Bar and Terrace, as well as a lighter lunch menu. All rooms at the Miramar offer either sea or garden views and some room types feature large private balconies. All rooms include a flat-screen TV with Freeview, tea/coffee making facilities, as well as a seating area and a tiled en suite bathroom. Bournemouth Rail Station is located within a mile of the hotel and the sea front can be reached within 5 minutes on foot. Sandbanks, a popular and prestigious peninsula in England, is just a 15-minute drive away.

A traditional family hotel run with so much care. Everywhere was spotless even the décor and lighting in extremely good order.- we didn't see one light bulb not working properly! Food excellent and staff so friendly. The garden facing the cliff top is wonderful and in good weather taking either morning coffee or afternoon tea it is so relaxing. Staff were friendly and very professional. I was running the Bournemouth Half Marathon on Sunday 6th October and I asked Petar on reception if it was possible to delay my checkout by an hour so I could come back to the hotel and shower. He was able to do this and I really appreciated it as I was travelling back to London.

The Room 211 was very well appointed all the usual equipment you would come to expect. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and watering can shower head was really big bonus. Superb luxury hotel, beautiful setting overlooking the sea with well tended gardens, room spacious with lots of room for clothes and delightful aspect, quiet. Breakfast good, all staff very courteous and helpful. Would certainly use again on next visit to the area. The staff were all very attentive, helpful and pleasant. Our room was lovely,verynicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was splendid. View out over the bay was just perfect. I thought it was great that you are a pet friendly hotel. Lovely clean rooms, nicely decorated. Staff very helpful and friendly. Our first room was very dark on the top floor,we asked if they had a lighter room, which they did with out any problem. Moved to a lovely light airy room. Traditional hotel in excellent position near to promenade and beach, easy to walk into Bournemouth for shops and other tourist attractions. Cool (weather was very hot), homey but professional, friendly staff, freshly cooked breakfast using quality ingredients (we didn't eat dinner there, though it smelled very nice). The room was very comfortable and Breakfast in Bed was a wonderful addition for us. Right opposite the sea, therefore the perfect location to walk into town or to the beach. Excellent location all staff were friendly and helpful food was of good quality and room comfortable would recommend this hotel to family and friends and would stay again. The food and service in the restaurant are excellent. The view from the front of the hotel is splendid and its a really civilised place to stay. The room was a lovely size and bed was very comfy. Fortunately we could walk the two flights of stairs to our room but as there is only one small lift it must make for difficulties for some less able. Nothing. N/A. Nothing could be improved. Pillows were very uncomfortable, rather hard and lumpy. Cooked breakfast was a little on the small side,not a buffet which I think woul be better as you could get as little or more if needed. Although we had plenty of toast to fill up on. Room got very hot at night (although no heating on) and AC vey loud and not very cool. Too hot in bedrooms. -It should be accessible on foot from East Overcliff Drive -No control over the heating -No Air-Conditioning (but windows operated well). Nothing really. Great place to stay. Although the food was of good quality the portion's were a bit on the small side. Room was too hot when we arrived but cooled off with the windows open so not a major problem. Some areas are dated but there is renovation being done at the moment. Zip lock beds!!!!!!!!! Considering there is quite a lot of building work happening inside I'm surprised it maybe wasn't a little bit cheaper, but this is by no means a complaint!! The stay was still brilliant!. Nothing not to like. Low water flow from the shower is the only comment I can make everything else very good. My only gripe (a small one) was the selection of on-tap beers at the bar. It would have been nice to have a local real ale available for consuption in addition/instead of what they were serving. Can be loud but there was a wedding reception going so can't really complain. Nothing, all was fantastic thank you. Had to open windows as soon as we got into the room as it was too hot for what was a mild day. Difficulty cooling room down so had windows wide open all night (early March!). Otherwise an enjoyable stay :-). There was nothing to dislike. the hotel its self need to be up dated some what which takes time and money but if the investment was put in , it would come out in profit asap , but would stay again ... thanks. There is nothing I did not like about the Miramar. This was the third time we had stayed there, so I guess that speaks for itself. The junior waiting staff were a bit brusque and did not make eye contact as they passed us. Our room being above a very loud disco which went on till midnight, would have been fine if we were at the wedding but we weren't!!. Nothing that I can think of. Shower did not work. Hotel unable to fix it during our 4 day/night stay. We were offered the use of a shower in a room one floor below. Not ideal. Lack of shower spoilt holiday a little bit. Cooked breakfast nice but bit small. nothing. Over hot!!. Nothing. No complaints at all would fully recommend this establishment. Nothing. We would like to have stayed longer!. Noise from next door bathroom extractor. Windows rattled in light wind but easily fixed with a map . Nothing to dislike about this hotel experience. Party until midnight on the Wednesday, very loud music, would have liked to have been warned. Bar menu I thought was a bit pricey.
