Dorset Villa Guest House is comfortable, friendly b&b accommodation situated approximately 5 minutes' walk from city centre. The guest house has some private parking (reservation needed) at the rear and all rooms have colour TV and free Wi-Fi. A 2 storey Victorian building very conveniently situated, close to the centre of the beautiful World Heritage Georgian city of Bath.

Clean room and Bath tub. And good breakfast. The location was very convenient and the owner was very accomadating. The hotel room was very clean and secure. Breakfast was great! Amazing value for your money. We will be staying there again.The location of the hotel, and the size of the room. very nice breakfast, friendly staff, very helpful.excellent location!!!.

A little far away city center, but good walk.Limited parking. Bedroom was too cold. Had to sleep in tracksuit pants and skivvy over pyjamas.A problem with the toilet cistern but staff did try to correct this. the carpets need changing, I felt toilet hadn't been cleaned since last guest.noise from traffic. Had a minor problem with the breakfast but landlord compensated by knocking off price for parking. no car parking available for me so it cost me a further £8 in parking and some inconvenience but as it was only for 1 night this is not a major issue. The shower wasn't the best. reception is closed during the evening. Dorest Villas is run down the carpets are all marked and the bathrooms all need a good clean and revamp. The mattras was not quite good. no one there to check us in for 3 hours. the room could have done with an overhaul/update and the bathroom/toilet was cramped. parking facilities inconvenient, difficult to maneuver into. Bit dated and the bedroom carpet was in dire need of a good clean/changing altogether. For £60 a night for a double room it seemed a bit steep for a B+B. This is the dirtiest Guest House I have stayed in. My Mothers room wason the ground floor and had a torn and frayed top bed cover, dirty linenand she also found a snail crawling in the bathroom window. The bathroomwas dirty with walls and skirting boards covered in dust, this hadobviously not been cleaned for some time.Hotel cleaniness. Lack of shower in the room. It is in need of updating and thorough cleaning, decor oldfashioned rooms cluttered, feels as it it is at the end of a cycle of a business. The whole hotel was very tired and little or nomaintenance/modernisation had taken place for decades the en suite hadno shower facility or hair drier the furnishings were shabby and the tvhad no remote control I would expect better when paying £120 a night. It was very dirty, and the covers on the bed (bedspread) were literally falling apart. Bit tired looking.cleanliness carpets filthy towels dirty and smelly. old dirty carpet in room.. dirty toilet in room.. everything needs a good lick of paint. It was very dated which made it feel unclean. I feel the price was a lot for this type of accomodation. they do not keep their promise to reserse us a car parking space which they had promised in their email reply.The single room I had booked was essentially an annex at the back of the guest house that you accessed by going through the kitchen! Upon closer inspection in the morning I discovered the room was shabby, dirty and dusty. It had obviously not been cleaned since the last guest stayed as there was urine on the toilet seat, soap scum on the basin and nail clippings on the floor. Cold rooms, our room was downstairs next to the breakfast room so we were woken up very early with loud discussion. Very basic breakfast. Bed very uncomfortable. Staff very friendly though!. Room was quite dirty. No shower, only a bath, basic coffee in room, no drinks, carpets disgusting, marked/stained. Bed was infested with blood mites, ie bugs! informed owner that it should be fumigated. I would not send any guests to this hotel until it is cleaned and reviewed. bed very uncomfortable, old and springy. toilet really smelt of years of urine. dingy decor in need of updating and lick of paint.Breakfast was very late, not much good if you are working and need to be somewhere at nine.
