The bedroom was more than big enough for the two of us. The en-suite was
great and the biggest bath I have ever seen and the shower worked
properly. It was easy to find being on the main road. We used the hotel
as a stopping off point on the way to Chapel St Leonards but we did
manage to see beneath the Humber Bridge.
Excellent Guest House! Really friendly welcome from Polly. I stayed in the nearby annexe. My single room was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, which is always a major plus for us. Room was comfortable and clean and facilities were good, bathroom was spacious! Would definately use again if we are out that way.
The staff were very helpful with my lactose intolerance and very friendly all round.
The hotel is close to lots of nature reserves and RSPB sites.

There is no air conditioning which I knew, but it would have been useful to have a fan. Ensuite is very compact - it would be more comfortable if it was bigger, however there is no space for it to be bigger.

I liked everything about the b and b. But this is the only space to tell you that I don't like this feedback form as the categories of travellers didn't cover my situation. I took my elderly mother to a squadron reunion so it was a middle aged lady and elderly lady travelling together. However, I've just ticked 'solo traveller' as it was the closest.
We were in a downstairs room close to the entrance. Unfortunately the tiled hallway ampified the sound of people coming and going, particularly later at night on return from their evenings entertainment elsewhere.

breakfast was extra. This was a bit of an embarassment. Not the fault of
Holcombe Guest House but a Bookings.com website issue.

back to Holcombe house for breakfast. Breakfast listed at £5 on website,
that's for continental, you're charged £7.50 each for English.

Having to stay at a separate building; we now understand that apart from the main guse house (were breakfast is served) the business includes 2 other separate buildings nearby. Mattresses could do with upgrading - springs easily felt, had to use the towels to cushion our backs. Alarm control panel was bleeping all night - but we understand it would be fixed the day we left. Surely the service visit could have be made earlier.
