A full cooked breakfast is provided each morning, and meals ranging from chicken stuffed with haggis to fajitas are served in the oak-panelled restaurant. During the warmer months, you can dine al fresco in the pretty courtyard. St Andrews is only 9 miles from The Waterfront. A wide range of restaurants are available along the shoreline, and a choice of stunning golf courses can be reached in 25 minutes’ drive.

Location was excellent- opposite the Marina & very close to the very good & informative Maritime Museum in Anstruther. The food at breakfast was wholesome tasty & served by a friendly staff member. I was staying on a B&B basis at the Waterfront. My room in the "Bakery" section of the hotel overlooked a delightful little courtyard The room was spotless with a comfortable bed & ensuite. No problems there. However on two nights I had a noisy family staying above me & coul.
kaikki arvostelut » The staff were excellent, particularly with my 93 yr old mother whom I take away as often as I can from her sheltered accommodation. Finding a place that suits her is not at all easy. The Waterfront was ideal, even although the stairs posed a bit of a challenge. The next time, I will ask for her to have a room on the ground floor if that is possible. The food was very good and more than plentiful. There would be little chance of malnutrition. The rooms, whilst small, were very well appointed an. I enjoyed the welcome and loved the bath goodies and clean big bath and the coffee was delicious and the free water (fabulous idea) I enjoyed the privacy and the breakfast was sensational for a vegetarian like me..IMPRESSED!!**and the staff -they made all so easy which as a single person I needed as travelling alone is no easy.(and expensive). Very friendly staff and good service enjoyed the stay and excellent breakfast. Very well organised and warm welcome to the Waterfront will defiantly come back again. Thank you. All group were proufoundly Deaf signers 7 from Netherlands and 1 from Glasgow we all communicated well at hotel with staff friendly. Cheers. The hotel is near the harbour and it is a short distance from other attractive fishing villages The food was very good, especially the acclaimed fish and chips. The breakfast was also very good. The little courtyard which pass through to go to the rooms is very attractive. the moment we arrived we fell in love with the place then we met staff at waterfront-instantly we were welcomed given and shown the option of accommodation. the restaurant food and service was spot on we say it was one of the best places we stayed on our trip. The room was very spacious and of very high quality. Nice and quiet. Had dinner in the restaurant in the evening which was first class. Breakfast superb with a good choice. Staff fantastic. All in all great value for money. Will definitely return. The accommodation was excellent, couldn't ask for more for your money. Food was fantastic, definitely recommend dinner at the Waterfront. Lovely location right at the Harbour and the room was quietly tucked away from the front. ;the position of the hotel, the large modern bedroom with a bath and the evening meal (although we only had one course). The breakfast was very good too.Anstruther was our first stop whilst walking on the Fife coastal path. Everyone was so friendly, and even before we arrived they were very responsive to a few emails I sent. The family room was fantastic, plenty of space for the four of us. Breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful stay!. the room we had in the"granary" was excelllent and the premises ideally situated harbourside afforded a view from the dining room which complimented the high standard of food and service from very friendly staff. Well designed light and airy room room, with good-sized bathroom with bath. Very comfortable bed. Tea, coffee drinking chocolate and bottles of water provided in the room. Staff were most helpful and welcoming. Though on the harbor waterfront it was quiet and restful. Hotel and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. Loved taking a long soak in the tub after a lot of walking on a trip to the Isle of May. Very friendly staff. Excellent accomodation. Excellent food particularly the fresh fish. The staff, location, great meals, quiet room and wonderful feel of this place were ALL great!. our group of 6 liked the location, the standard of the rooms, the cleanliness and the staff. every thing was clean and tidy on a daily basis,staff were happy to help in all ways. " family" staying above me. I do not like online questionnaires as they do not enable the respondent to answer accurately. The options are too constrained and limiting! For example, the item about with whom I traveled contains no response option which applied to me. I would like to be on the higher level next time as the person above was a bit noisy. the weather. The only thing we regretted was not having a sea view. the restaurant/dining room was seperate from the accomodation-fine with the weather we got but !!!!. Wifi not good in room 1, but good downstairs, also in restaurant, or by sitting at bathroom window! Not really a problem though. Nothing I can think of. Nothing. Carrying bags up two flights of stairs. The double bed was two singles put together as we were in the family room. You can't go and have a drink at the bar. Parking is a problem at weekends, can be difficult to get a space. The shower... It wasn't hot enough, sometimes colder, sometimes hotter, and the head needs to be changed!!. nothing to do with hotel but an inability to close doors quietly, although some managed most just let doors slam, some door dampeners would cure this. but thats being very picky. The bathroom was a bit outdated and moldy in places. I did not like the fact that we had to walk past overflowing and smelly dustbins to get to the dining room. Having to go outside to reach the restaurant. narrow steep stairs to rooms, noisy timber floors, noise from adjoining rooms and outside very loud and disturbing. The TV / radio reception in our room (No 9 in the Bakehouse) was poor. Had the fish and chips which was delicious, but why did it come with salad?. Room was a bit too noisy from back of restaurant and people walking about next door. Nothing. That we booked a double room and it appeared to be a family room, which was ok but a bit dark. Some of the guests were noisy and kept banging the front door shut. Wifi wasn't that great, and parking is only free if found on the street. It was hard work for us to get all our stuff to the room ....not close to the car and up 2 flights of steep stairs. Parking limitations (not the fault of The Waterfront). Other guests slamming either the front entry door or their own doors - inconsiderate and unecessary. Perhaps a couple of notices!!?. Loose tiles in bathroom, beds comfy but a bit worn. Staff need to tell residents to book a table for dinner - restaurant fully booked when we arrived so a rather late meal that evenin. Incredibly poor sound proofing in room and disturbing creaky floors. nothing !!!!!!. Nothing. it may be our fault but we only had one key per room causing a late night problem of entry.
