  Dusit Island Resort has a beautiful location on an island in the middle of the river. It is not far from the centre of the town. You can get there by tuk-tuk or taxa in 5-10 minutes. Transport time from the airport to the hotel is 20-25 minutes by car. We had a room on the 7th floor.   Convenient location. Not downtown but close if you have transport. This makes it quiet and relaxing if you just want to chill by the pool or on your balcony. Helpful staff and good wifi connection. It is a 10minute walk to town and because of this It was downgraded to "good" rather than "excellent". However, the perfect quietness and tranquillity more than makes up for this inconvenience. As another writer said - 50baht will get a taxi into town
