I enjoyed my stay very much! My room was comfortable, quiet, clean and the shower was absolutely amazing, compared to all the other showers I've used in Thailand! The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is definitely worth a try! The location was perfect. It was very close to the night market and the other market that's open during the day, and it's just near the centre of the town, just a 5 minute walk away. There are so many cool things to do in Chiang Mai so make sure to plan your trip b.
kaikki arvostelut » We have stayed here for three nights. Guest house is realy close to the city center, rooms are nothing special but realy good for the price we paid (we were only sleeping there). In the room there are moscito nets on the window (nice for all of us who have good blood). The owner is realy friendly and helpful. He booked us a van to Pai, elephant farm and he called us a taxi to pick us up early in the morning to go to the airport. I would recommend Cumpun guest house to all of you who are looking. Great value for money and great location. 299 for a room with a double bed, aircon, small but sufficient en suite bathroom, cable tv, fresh clean towels. Fast wifi with strong signal from top floor to ground floor. Nice communal area on the ground floor with pool table. Coffee at 10 Baht all day. Waffles and more available for breakfast from the owner Alexis. Or walk 5 seconds across the road for a range of tasty 35 Baht dishes such as roast duck on rice with soup. All in all a great guest hous. Located within a walking distance to the market, the staff was very nice. I was a bit worried by seeing what some other tourists had commented that there were mosquitos in the room...I reserved an air conditioning room and there were no mosquitos at all. By the way, the wifi was a little slow but ok to surf. Everything was great, large clean rooms, big towels, good shower, pool table. Nice walk to the local food market and the night bazaar not too far either. Amazing surrounding food places, one worth a mention "KinKeng", you must go. Just around the corner, best food we have had and so cheap. Great location 5 minute walk to the town. Hot water and cable tv. For the price we paid it was great. Offers breakfast in the morning. Rooms cleaned every second day clean fresh towels and sheets very uncommon for budget places. We booked in for 2 nights stayed a week!. Alexis the boss is very nice and helpful.We arrived in Chiangmai very early and called him at 6 a.m. He was woken up by my phone call but got up to wait and let us check him as soon as we arrived. He makes great Belgium waffles also. it is worth a try for breakfast. Alec and his girlfriend were very friendly and helpful. I had a room with fan only since the weather is milder in Novembet. I wanted to extend my stay but they were full , so he recommended a hotel nearby. Also not far to walk to Thapae gate. Very good value for money!! Simple but clean room with good bed, table&chairs, tv, aircondition and very small ensuite bathroom. Very nice Belgian owner and his girlfriend. Pool table in the lobby, coffee&tea for 10 baht. Great hangout spot and good to meet new friends. The owner is very friendly and we made good friends. I recommend for anyone to come stay here because you will enjoy it no matter what background you are from. Alex and nisnoi were very welcoming, friendly and helpful from the start. The guest house is great value, clean and has a good vibe in the surrounding area only 10 min easy walk to Sunday walking street. clean room,quiet ,motorcycle rental,laundry and cheap thai food just beside hotel,great staff,cheap beverage sell in hotel,quite close to town also by foot 5 min to tha pae gate and worarat market. Thé staff was really friendly. Thé manager is belgian and can make for you a real belgian breakfast. The place is really atypical! We loved it Our fan didnt work, and the staff change it immediatly. Owner was friendly, place was clean, and had some Western standards/touches. Would stay there again, although should mention that the rooms face the street and can be mildly noisy. I like the location , the price and offcoures , the staff . Alexis and his girlfriend are great team to run this place. I thank you for everything . See you soon. Cheers!. The location was pretty good. No problems at all. Only a small thing. Notices about flushing paper down the toilet in the rooms which is fine. But maybe change bin daily and maybe a bin with a lid. Too many mosquitos. Some animal in the reverside starts making noise in the early morning, very loud.And it is a pity it is not in the old city. For the price it was worth it. But room was a bit small. If I took the aircon room might have been more comfortable. Nothing. there is no space where to put your staf in room. ... The noise when your room is near the road. Wish there wasn't a charge to use the workout equipment. Ant in the room... But this isaquite common problrm all over Thailand. Those little fellas always find their way... Don't do food at moment but they are looking at doing that in the near future but that is being really picky as everything else was great!. Kind of in a local area, slightly confusing where to go to markets/shops etc. But once you find your bearings its a short walk. basic. No complaints. Location is just ok, can be slightly gloomy after 10 o clock when then street shuts down, very dark!. Bathroom entry is only 180cm high and kept banging my head. Nothing to complain about. Generally, the place needs investment. For example: bathroom tiling. The rooms need a make-over: fresh paint, more comfortable beds. Staff wasn't very helpfull, they didn't smile once and looked a bit confused. Staff was a little awkward and not all of them spoke English. A man was fixing our bathroom for a few hours after we arrived and the fan was broken. Nothing. Not very clean. Didn't clean room for us. Had to ask for towels.
