  It was excellent experience -- the staff was very friendly and helpful and they were trying hard to make our stay there enjoyable. The rooms were nice and clean, and a bit old-fashioned decoration (a style is a bit 70ies-80ies) did not mitigate the experience.   I actually stayed in Royal Plaza which I think is connected to Villa Toscane. Rooms were excellent and spa facilities excellent. - usage of the pool and welness facilities in the montreux palace across the road for free.
