  The staff were immediately welcoming when I dropped off my bag on my way to a meeting on arrival in Basel. The room had windows to open at night (many hotels have sealed windows). The location was perfect thanks to the map on your booking website.   The hotel was extremely clean, quiet, simply but beautifully furnished with modern facilities. The location was like a paradise. My room had a balcony, only metres from a beautiful mountain river with lovely well-groomed trails to use close by. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Manager (when he was around) was friendly and helpful. River-view room was enjoyable (if you like the sound of nearby flowing water as I do - other side would likely have significant traffic noise).
