The staff were friendly and helpful, the room large, clean, bright and airy. The hotel is just steps from the train and bus station, making it very convenient. Overall I found the Hirschen to be very comfortable. The only downside is the smoking from the bar (see what I didn't like), however despite this, and being fully aware of it, I have to say that I would stay there again. location is great very close to main road. room was ok and bathroom was enough. hotel has a private parking area. Nice breakfast.
kaikki arvostelut » Close to Maienfeld station (~1min. walk). Hotel bar offers reasonable drinks (1 large beer and 1 small wine for 9CHF). Budget hotel, much cheaper than neighbouring Liechtenstein. Very close to train station. Very nice bar/cafe and facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Stylish and well set out. staff was very friendly, offered to put a baby bed even though I didn't request it. Good price. Breakfast ok. Kindness of the people. Close to main road, Heidiland. Nice town to stay in. location. Very close to train station, the room (no toilet) was small but comfortable and I had a nice mountain view. Also the room had a Heidi-ish feel (duves, etc) which was cute. Size and comfort of room. Only a few meters from Maienfeld station. Quiet location. Trains call at Maienfeld twice an hour to both Sargans and Landquart and Chur. I saw the warning regarding the smoking in other comments, but did not fully understand until I was there. It was so bad in the bar that I had to wait outside while my registration was being completed. The smoke permeates all other public areas including the restaurant hallways, even upstairs. Even to a small degree my room, however the windows open fully and with that the room was fine. staff doesnt speak english good so it was hard to communicate with them. One of the staffs does not speak English. No hair dryer in room. No English channels in tv. Need to avoid hitting the ceiling. Some staff only speaks German. I stayed in a room without a window. It was my choice to save money and I could have changed after seeing it and I wish I had. A room without a window is odd!. Smoken in the bar was not my favourite. The smoke from the pub on ground floor!!!. cold floor (no wooden). There is a pub in the ground level where people smoke (a LOT) and it feels like the smell is everywhere in the hotel. My room definately smelt of it.. Room not serviced during stay. Not the kind of hotel I'm used to with no real reception desk - I had to inquire at the bar when I arrived. Maienfeld is a small place without many shops and nothing open in evening.
