  Admiral Lord Collinwood stayed here, in what was then a villa, whilst he was Commander in Chief of the British Navy in the Mediterranean during the Napoleonic era. The hotel is decorated with numerous paintings and artifacts from that era. It is also very convenient for visits to the forts at the entrance to Mahon harbour. Great for history lovers, the main building is very atmospheric like a museum. Totally recommend this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer

  Everything was first class. Pedro, the owner, was one of the warmest, most helpful hotel owners I have ever come across. And his staff were equally as efficient and hospitable. The hotel is crazily good value. The room and location were perfect, and the amount of trouble the staff went to in giving me a beautiful breakfast was very impressive.
