Only 10 min. Taxi drive from airport. The hotel was renovated 2013.
Close to beach, restaurants and shops. We stayed one week (half board)
at end of October 2013, and at this time of the year season ends.
Therefore, we see that there is less queuing everywhere and more quiet
beach life than during summer season. We got very good and prompt

Location is excellent - the beach is a street across and it is 10 mins away from the airport. Facilities are good too - decent sized swimming pool, pool table, gym, spa facilities... The hotel organized different events over different nights - flamenco, acrobatics and fire show, singers on Friday night and a Dj on Saturday night.. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was great value, the pool area was very well laid out. The choice of buffet or A La Carte was good and the food in the restaurant at the pool area was very good. Extremely good service from all of the staff. We arrived late in the evening, the restaurant was closed, but they had arranged for us to have a cold meal in the restaurant! We had half-board; the food was really good, fresh and with good variation.

The staff is very friendly and you really have the feeling that they are there to take care of you. The hotel is a very good and the rooms are great. Take your laptop and a lan cable and you'll have internet free in your room - Excellent location for a few quiet days; fantastic views; swimming off the rocks was great; good pool; very friendly staff

The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.
