  The vibe of the place was really good when I was there; people were very friendly and it was easy for someone travelling alone (like me) to make friends.   I am quite a difficult guest to keep happy, yet this hostel was truly a splendid experience. The hostel is clean and tidy, has lockers and features clever design that provides enough light in the room during the night without disturbing anyone as well as well-located sockets allowing to charge the phone. Yet the secret lies in the hospitality: the smily guys at the reception - Matthew, Pablo and Marc - 24 hours reception - I arrived at 1am, and staff was friendly and kind. Check in took 2 minutes. Location is perfect, 15 walk from Park Guell. Kitchen equipment is provided, and they are brand new, good quality bowls, glasses, etc. Free coffee and tea is also available.   Location is good if you don't like loud night life (the district is quiet, not comparable to El Raval where we stayed before; no noise from the streets and it's still only 10-15 min to subway "Joanic"); We had a 2-bedroom apt, it was really big, bright, renovated and clean. Communication with the staff was OK, checkin &checkout was fast. Overall = recomm - Staff member alex was very helpful. We arrived later than anticipated and he was very understanding as i had no signal to update him as we arrived. Apartment was modern and airy and had everything we needed except a cot bed so i would not use here if needing this unless you take your own. The sofa bed wasnt this biggest either.   Helena, receptionist, always cheerful, professional and helpful. Stayed on well after her leaving time to settle us in after our late arrival due to problems with our pre-booked airport pickup.
