Ivonna made a few calls and the manager allowed us to rent another 2 bedroom and reduce the rate on the booked apt (they charge per person in most Spainish properties) so that for 2 apartments (2bed/1bath) the total came to 20 euros less for our stay!!!!   Fantastic location in the Albaicin barrio -- which, contrary to what I'd read, seemed safe and friendly. From the hostal's rooftop terrace you can look across and watch the sun rise over the Alhambra. Easy bus ride into the city center. Moni and Marisol, the owners are simply lovely. The Hostal was in a lovely old quiet plaza in the old Moorish Albaizin cobbled quarter of Grenada. Buses every few mins downtown. A quiet house to stay in. Quirky decor. We had a small bedroom with a good size shower room and a big balcony with vines overhead. A wonderful big roof-garden with amazing views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. And you step from this into the kitchen for use any time and at breakfast when food is provided.

  Yet again a place with excellent value for money. Simple but nice room, nice staff and clean bathrooms.
