In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. The following day, management were quick to apologize, gave the first night free and upgraded my status to include b'fast for all 3 mornings of

Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take
breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop
just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing
walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about
15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

From the moment you approach this hotel you feel welcome. The staff are true professionals who are happy to go the extra mile. The rooms are small but perfectly formed with wonderful design touches and very efficient a/c and water pressure. The food is excellent and good value, although the breakfast at first seems expensive, the choices are amazing and well worth it. But what really makes this hotel is the staff. It was an excellent location, near the metro and Plaza Mayor. The staff were all very helpful and parking was facilissimo. They were extremely accommodating, providing driving directions in Madrid and other advice. - The breakfast (which was not included) was delicious and plentiful.
