  I ist just an amazing place :) You live in a side street (so it's pretty calm compared to the general noise in Valencia) and you are close to everytning. All what we needed was in walking distance. They rent also bicycles (we got 10% discount). We cycled to the beach and to the Albufera reserve (It was really worth the effort). Our room was about 46 euro per night, for a small room with double bed, hot shower, small balcony; no breakfast though. Warm atmosphere, good information available at reception. - The hostel is very basic but practical and ideal for those on a budget. Centrally located, it is an ideal base when exploring the city and the surrounding areas. I opted for my own bathroom which was well worth the additional 4 euros per day. I'm often concerned about security in Hostels but this was diminished in El Cid completely - I felt comfortable leaving my belongings in my room when out and about.

  The very chic and elegant room design made me feel like I was staying at a five-star hotel. The great staff service added to this impression. The location and price could not have been better- just a quick walk to awesome sites and restaurants, not to mention the train station. I then stayed again but was to soon to review it. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the decor is of a very high standard and all staff are more than helpfull. The location is excellent and when ever i visit Valencia in future i would try and stay here.

  Wonderful helpful, friendly staff whom we spent a lot of time just chatting with! Small, intimate hostel (max 28 ppl at one time) so it is really easy to socialize with your fellow travellers. As two 20-something girls we stayed in the private bedroom with 2 single beds and it was perfect! Great location and easy to navigate to all the main sights, nightlife, etc. - Hostel is located in a very quiet street in the old town part of the city, not far from the Nord train station and close to everything else. Location is good, in walking distance (20 min) from the train station and 30 min from the City of Sciences and Arts. We only used transportation to get to the airport. Rooms small but clean, there is balcony. Very good location - in the city center, not far from metro station and there is a big foodmarket in 5 minutes of walk.
