It could be noisy in the evenings and it has, hands-down, the world's tiniest elevator. Great water pressure in the shower, free wi-fi both big pluses.   I absolutely liked this guesthouse. The location is excellent and safe, and it is very easy to access hot spots by walking or subway. It locates between El Born and Barceloneta. The guesthouse locates in the second floor of an histrorical building and has 11 rooms. It feels like staying as a guest in an apartment, which I like. I suppose double rooms with balc - The staff were very nice and understanding. They kept my reservation even though my credit card had failed and there wasn't any chance to call my bank as I was in transit from Rome. This was the best place we stayed in our 2 week holiday in Barcelona, Paris and Rome. My family loved the place and wish we had discovered it earlier. Exceptionally clean and neat with modern decor. Loved the pictures at the reception.

  Pensio 2000 was a real find. Help yourself tea/coffee/cakes and water, all gratis. Even had lovely white dressing gowns provided. An international crossroad location with great mix of people too! But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

I was impressed by the quality for how much we paid. Great location for tourist attractions and just for wandering.   Rooms are built within an appartement building giving you the feeling of having your own city loft. We had room 4 with a spacious patio overlooking the university building. Beautiful combination of old tile floors with authentic design. The hostel is very centrally located at the placa de la universidad and placa de Catalunya is at walking distance. The area surroundin - Very warm welcome from Carlos which continued throughout our stay-couldnt have been more helpful. Room was a small Eco only but perfect for our two night stay as not needing a room to spend time in other than as a base. Wonderful bed and best sleep I've had for ages in hotel room (travel a lot with work). Great large shower- rain effect and seperate hand held. Lovely touch of free tea and coffee available for guests and a light breakfast provided (not mentioned when booking). Fab location- two
