  I booked a double room for 40 euros; I think this rate is impossible to beat, in any kind of hotel in Barcelona (and even hostels).   We liked everything. As we wrote last time, the place is great and beautiful, the staff is very nice and helpful. The gardens are a nice place to walk around. We didn't eat there but took advantage of the vending machines. Metro station about 8 mins away (we walk at a normal sometimes slow pace). We absolutely recommend it. - Everything. The place is very beautiful, quiet and safe, you can stroll through the nice gardens. There's a chapel, a piano, a vending machine with coffee and snacks in case you don't take the breakfast.

  Whilst a bit remote from the city centre, it is within a 5 to 10 minute walk to a train station with links direct to the centre. Tickets were 4.70 euros return and trains every 20 minutes or so. - I like the price and the location.
