  The staff was extra polite, very helpful and nice. Internet was ok (maybe it should be a little bit faster). Breakfast is average, nothing special. Beds confortable, the hotel is small, but this is not an destiantion where guests stay in rooms. For the price that we payed (150 euros for 3 days) i am more than happy and would recomend to everyone and would return. I hav - Close to the city centre with good public transport possibilities.   This was the most comfortable bed of our trip! I wish we could have packed it up and taken it with us... We only stayed here one night after arriving in Madrid at the very beginning of our trip.   location is more than perfect in the middle of the very live street in Madrid. you can just go down and you will see people still going walking everywhere even at 2:00pm. Staff were friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking out.   Hostal Veracruz is very nice and has clean rooms with AC and own bathrooms. It is very close to Sol, so really in very center of Madrid and Spain. Everything is in walking distance or else the metro and cercanias are near by (at Sol). You are in the thick of the nightlife of Madrid and of the shopping center.   - Location was perfect. Right in the middle of the centre. You can see almost all attractions by walking. Many shops around, many restaurants and food options. Make sure you explore the neighborhood before you decide where to get you meal. They also let us leave our suitcases after check out until very late (11pm) - Price is great for what you get. We paid about 35eu - Very good location in the city center, between Sol and Sevilla metro stations. When checking in I got keys to the room and front door, which was very convinient, because in other hostels sometimes you dont get the keys and have to leave them at the reception desk every time you get out (which is something which I really do not like in other hostels).
