Hostal Los Angeles was a lovely place. Despite the fact that we hardly spoke any Spanish and the owner didn't speak any English, the owner was extremely friendly and helpful, and was very welcoming. The place was very clean, and very nicely decorated, and our room was very comfortable. We really appreciated the air-conditioning, especially as it was the middle of the summer. The location was slightly out of town and the walk to the Mezquita was around 15 minutes - we appreciated the fact th.

Close to Mezquita and Alcazar de Los Reyes and little walk into some ofthemain plazas. Clean and wi fi was good. Staff were very sweet, especially Mama (not sure who she was in the scheme of things) but a bit disorganized and seemed overwhelmed - by what, I'm not sure. This is a very nice place to stay, rooms are very clean (probably the cleanest hostal i have stayed in) and staff is very friendly, specially Mamma on reception. In general place is so warm and design is just great. I would definitely stay here again if i visit Cordoba. Nice hotel inside. Great location in the center. Good option for car travelers is to book the parking place coz is hard to find a place on the street. Parking place is inside a nearby building which is locked by hotel stuff (you dont have the key). Really nice place - conveniently located in the less touristy part of Cordoba old town. Our room (double without bathroom) was small, but comfortable and clean. We liked everything. they are rebuilding the place so we had a building site just outside our window, though actually not much affected by in the end. watch out for rooms located internally - their only window will face the reception or corridor. Single room had no window, unless you count the one over the bath/showers. We were placed in room with one bed because of confusion but got the opportunity to move to 2 bed room the next day. It is bit difficult to find a hotel and go there by car (no road, just narrow street for pedestrian). Also parking inside the bulding could be a problem for unskillful drivers and impossible for big cars! (vans and similar wide cars). Slightly lacking intimacy - in the night we could hear staff having late dinner and other guests walking down the corridor. Location of hostel is a little bit far away from bus station. One couple in our group had a very small double room; maybe that room should be a single. If you are not spanish it is quite difficult to communicate - nobody speaks english or any other languages. But they are helpfull. bathroom very small. Water leak in bathroom down the hall, but it wasn't a big problem, it does need to be fixed though. No shelf, no hook for a towel in the bathroom - minor things for the hostel owner, but very important for travelers comfort. We got a comfortable room only after a change, caused by the problem with the shower. The first suggested room was very poor. The bathroom was not the cleanest and I hear everything through the window to the yard. No glasses or cups in the bathroom. Access to coffee in the area before 9:00 am virtually non-existant. No place for parking around. very small room. The owner has no word in English, very basic accomoodation, we couldn't go out in the night as gate was closed and nobody was in the reception. We found 3 insects in the bathroom, one of which was a big cockroach. The owners answered us that it might happens when it rains. Awful staying.
