  This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star setting. Yes the rooms are basic and in need of a refurb but that is reflected in the bargain price and with views like this you won't be spending much time in doors. The beach whilst small is quaint and the bathing area safe for young children. You don't have to swim out far to see lots of - I was impressed by the organisation of the team of cleaners who were friendly & worked hard cleaning just about everything from sand on beach to showers & chairs & railings & fences as well as rooms & obvious areas. The staff on the reception were always friendly & helpful. But most of all the Team of young entertainers . Dave & his team were amazing - always friendly to parents but fantastic with the children . They were never too busy for anyone "kids or adults" .

  Fantastic location, the kids loved both the cove on one side of the complex and also the diving platform and rocks on the other side. Good selection of pools too. Lovely setting which is beautifully maintained. Apartment is spacious and nicely decorated apart from the bathroom which was a little tired. There is amazing restaurant "Paparazzi" just in front of the hotel with nice food and delisious pizza for takeaway. The stuff at the reception easily organized a rental car for us and invited a doctor when we had a problem with jellyfish. Our apartment was cosy and comfortable.

  I can honestly say that this stay was one of the best in my life - and I travel a lot! From the very first moment after we arrived to Es Ravells D´Or we felt comfortable, staff was very kind and helpful - the receptionist(the best ever!!!:)))) gave us apartmant even though we paid for studio, he was always smiling and talking to us every day.   Very clean nicely maintained gardens and communal areas. We had apartment on third floor overlooking sea, very spacious with a good range of kitchen equipment and huge balcony. They have signs saying "silence as respect to other guests" and this appeared to work as we didn't hear any noise.   Although the accommodation was fairly basic, it was very clean and reasonably well equipped. The host, Frank was exceptionally helpful and ready to oblige with anything extra which may be required. The pool and grounds of the hotel were well attended to and pre-recession the hotel probably had far more facilities. We would visit Porto Petro again, but in accommodation around the marina. - We really enjoyed being in the town of Puerto Petro; we are not big-city people at all, and it was lovely to be in a small town. Cal d"Or is just minutes away, where you can find many more shops and larger supermarkets. Our apartment was perfect, with a wonderful view of the port. Frank is very helpful and friendly. We would most definitely return!
