The entrance gate to iSimangaliso Wetland Park is 5 minutes by car. Staff can help organise local tours or a Big Five safari in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Game Reserve, a 50 minutes' drive away.

Afrikaya is so nice, Joyce gives plenty of information about St-Lucia, it is also a good place to stay if you want to do a safari in the Hluwehluwe park. This park is even better than Krugerpark! Make sure you book with Eurozulu, they will pick you up at Afrikaya at 5 am to take you to the park with an experienced guide (we had Zamani) he knows where to find the animals and gives you a lot of information. Definately worth the trip to St-Lucia! Also recommended: Zulu experience (Eurozulu) and do.
