  Warm welcome. Customer service was exceptionally good - nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were extremely comfortable with great sea views and well-equipped. A home from home. - The room and staff/manager were warm and welcoming. The location on the beach was excellent. In all it was a very pleasant stay.

  Liz and Peter they run the place and they do this really well! We had a warm welcome at arrival. The place is so nicely located next to a river with stunning views into the wild. Only a 10mins drive to addo south's gate, the happy jackal is the perfect place to explore the area.   The whole place was lovely. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by a very lovely lady called Elizabeth. She was fantastic explaining the facilities, taking us for a full tour of the lodge. We were running so late from our previous destination. We received calls every 2 hours asking if we were fine and not lost. The kitchen stayed open for us until we arrived and we only arrived at 10:30pm. We have never been treated so well by any lodge ever. Outstanding and well received.

  I intentionally left all the scores at Excellent because that was exactly my experience of this place. I felt at home, yet private enough to go about as I wanted. I like the area - it is safe and very quiet. And even though it may look a bit far from everything else in PE, it really only takes you just over 10 minutes to get anywhere.
