Overlooking Kalk Bay fishing village, this Edwardian villa has a covered, lattice veranda with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and mountains. Inside are ornate ceilings, stained-glass features and spacious rooms.
Each room at The Inn at Castle Hill has wooden furniture, parquet floors and a tea/coffee maker. The private bathrooms offer a hairdryer, and some include a corner bath.
There are several shops, grocery stores and restaurants within a 15-minute walk.
Whales can be viewed in season in the bay and the coast is a 1-minute walk away. Cycling, fishing and windsurfing are available in the town, and the Clovelly Country Club golf course is 8 minutes’ drive away.
Stellenbosch in The Cape Winelands is around an hour’s drive on a route passing rugged coastal scenery.
Cape Town is 30 km from The Inn at Castle Hill and Cape Town International Airport is 38 km away. Car hire can be arranged.

Colonial Style, wonderful room and hospitality. Centrally located in the small town of Kalk Bay. Marianne offered excellent advice on the local bars and restaurants.
Well situated. Homely and comfortable. Beautifull views. Loved it! Will definitely be going back to the Inn on Castle Hill.

No mirrors near the electric points for drying hair, no real shower (bath with hand held shower head).
That there were only baths and not
a proper shower. But I can live with that for a weekend!.
I had to leave and go back to Johannesburg.

we were "upgraded" to Chartfield guesthouse. we were advised that there is off street parking and a security guard will be present. our vehicle got broken into :-(.
On street parking when told that 'free public parking' was available.
CAR WAS BROKEN INTO AT NIGHT.
Breakfast in amorphous large hotel-like dining room with no ambience in another place a block away.

Travelling information
- From the airport take the N2 direction Cape Town.
- Keeping left take the M3 direction Muizenberg (Left off ramp).
- Follow the M3 until the end then turn left at the intersection.
- At the next set of traffic lights turn right. Drive about 150 metres then turn right into Boyes Drive (Mountain Road).
- Follow Boyes Drive direction Kalk Bay.
- Take the 2nd left into Anderson Road and then the 2nd left into Gatesville Road.
- Castle Hill is the big white building at then end on your left.
