A very welcoming boutique hotel with a resident manager. Very friendly and helpful staff. Interior design that is highly contemporary without the frequently associated downside of not being functional for business travellers. The design concept is elegant, minimalist and functional. Camps Bay location is very convenient only 15 minutes drive from Cape Town centre whilst offering a different high-quality experience. This 17-key hotel is definitely worth a visit if you want service, personal.

Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and luxurious and with a great view of the ocean. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and that just made it an even nicer place to stay. Will definitely be returning. -the pool was fantastic with best view on the ocean and perfect for a sundowner. - very friendly & sympathic staff which helped us organizing trips -they even surprised us with a honeymoon special -late check-out was highly appreciated because our flight was late in the evening -breakfast was very very delicious -rooms very amazing and had a very modern design. This was our favorite place in Cape Town! The hotel is right in the beach and at the start of the waterfront strip of restaurants in gorgeous camps bay. The staff was amazing, took great care of us honeymooners. We also were very impressed with the food and cocktails. Best perk...the mini bar is complimentary! The pool is also divine. :). This has been the best facility we have stayed in. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area and went out of their way to help us. It was our anniversary while we were staying their and once the staff discovered that, we were spoiled with complimentary sparkling wine - a great touch. I would recommend the POD to anybody. Nothing too much trouble for staff. The hotel is one of the most meticulously designed modernist hotels - it is beautiful, with attention paid to every detail. As it is small that vibe is friendly and warm - the staff can't do enough. I spend a lot of time in 5 star hotels for business (four seasons; W; st Regis) which are good but the POD staff are friendly and professional in a genuine way that is unique. Immaculate..... excellent staff and service, food of top quality and 5 star service. great massages and cappuchinos... will be back soon without a doubt.... Two minor ecclectic observations: 1/ if you prefer to shave using a razor, the mirror is not immediatelly over the wash-basin. 2/ if you drive a 1960's Yank-tank motorcar, you will need to arrange parking nearby as the garage entrance is quite steep and narrow. Nothing!. nothing at all. The staff could have arranged better weather for us. Small and cramped pool area. The view is obscured by an old apartment block. In room coffee making facilities. It was a bit pricey but on balance I'd say worth it. I guess the heavy door to the toilet could be an issue for an elderly guest. Leaving. Having to leave. The dvd player did not work well enough to watch movies, the sink was an awkward shape and the mirror was not in front of the sink which makes shaving with a razor awkward. Eggs were often not cooked exactly to order. if you want to be the best, walk the talk, some small but potentialy irritating hick ups( airconditioning, noisy plumming). I think it is over priced. Heat was via the floors, so took longer to warm the rooms. OK once you know so you can plan accordingly. Our room when booked was described as having excellent sea views, the view at the best could only b described as partial sea view, the view matters to me a lot!! Luckily they were able to offer us a superior room with splendid view for part of the stay , then we had to move to room that I booked. I would have never booked that room ( v limited sea view) had it been described correctly. Nothing. A tat expensive :). No dinner service onsite. Nothing. Bathroom layout. no bath. Just the fact that the bathroom didn't afford too much privacy - (even though the toilet is separated from the shower area, you can see into the toilet from the shower anyway. Just means you can't go in private if your partner is showering :). The rooms w open plan bathroom may look great but it is not very practical in practice. Furthermore, the wind whips and howls around the building at night.
