  Location is the best, just 200 m from the prominent Chinatown MRT (can walk even with wheeled baggage- we had 4!), which is connected to every part of the city's sights by MRT/ bus. The hip Clark Quay is about a 5 min walk away. The rooms are clean, have a window and all essential facilities. Enough free literature available at the reception and quite efficient staff, though not too in - The Inn is only a few metres from the Chinatown Markets & the mrt is so close that if you have a fair amount of baggage, you won't have far to drag it if you catch the train to or from Changi. The rooms are not big but really clean and there's no elevator but its a very short climb up the stairs anyhow.. Your hardly ever there so its not a big deal!   A unique boutique hotel that does not fit any of the above categories. Formerly a historic Chinese Opera house/opium den/brothel, it has been converted to retain as much of the original ambiance as possible. They didnt have an elevator but there were electric escalators, which seemed like a nice idea! Bottled water included in room. Even thought they did not offer breakfast there were some great local breakfast places close by.

  I very much liked the design and set up off the place and especially of the rooms. The pod like dorms were very well maintained and easy to get comfortable in. The individual pods gave you privacy whilst still allowing for interaction with other dorm members if you so wished.   Great hostel within EASY walking distance to all the sights of Chinatown. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were very clean. Owners have an artistic bent, and have brought that into decorating the main areas. There are several restaurants /bars on the same block/around the corner.   I would say it was very convenient to find Adler hostel, just minutes of walk from Chinatown MRT Stop.
